Definitely have to pull the heads for the bolts. Just did mine 2 months ago. I don't plan on doing a turbo on my truck, it's an XL. I don't pull stuff often. So after I had the heads done I found new bolts at headbolts dot com. Just over a hundred bucks with free shipping. Now if it was a nicer truck, or I pulled a trailer every day I would saved for a turbo and studs for the motor.
