This is my first time posting and I wanted to see if I could get some opinions to a question I have.
I have a 87 6.9 F250 with 200k on the clock and I am currently having a issues with a loss of coolant. When I look into the radiator with the truck running I can see small patches of what looks like oil floating by. I am not losing coolant at an extreme rate but enough to check it and add every few weeks. I have run a cooling system pressure test and did not see much if any drop in pressure. I have also done a compression test on all 8 cylinders and they ranged from the high being 430 to the low being 370. I almost want to lean towards the fact that it might be a head gasket but wouldn't that have shown when I did a coolant pressure test? Or could it possibly be the oil cooler? When I change my oil I do not see any signs of coolant in it. The truck does burn a little oil and judging by the color of the exhaust (on a hard acceleration) and smell i am also burning coolant.
