2001 7.3 2wd Swap into 1984 6.9 IDI 4 wd
Hi everyone, I have both trucks complete side by side. 2001 is a F450 2wd. 84 is a 4wd. Would like to swap 2001 engine, transmission as well as all components ( AC compressor, alternator etc) as a complete unit into the 84. I know I might have to create a drive shaft to the transfer case. 1984...- weigelra

1988 7.3 IDI sawp into 2000 truck?
I have a 1988 F350 IDI. It's engine is good and the rest of it is crap. I also have a 2000 7.3 F350 that needs an engine but body is good. Is this a doable swap? If so, what has to be swapped to make the computers happy?- Chad Douglas
