ok....i pulled the owners manual, just to be sure. One section says, "do not add extra inhibitors or additives to the coolant. These can be harmful and compromise the corrosion protection of the engine coolant". Another section says, ....after drain and flush...."when using green colored...- rmwitt

I don't use coolant additives, and ford recommends not to use coolant additives, so they did not cause the injector cup to crack. And ford could not give an answer. However, i changed and flushed the coolant about a month earlier. I did the work myself. I drained the radiator, added water...- rmwitt

yep, it was a cracked injector cup/sleeve. i took the truck into the ford dealer this past week. they took off both value covers, removed the injectors, and pressurized the water to determine the location of the leak. cylinder #4 (2nd from front on passenger side) was leaking. in addition...- rmwitt

update: the fuel smell outside of the reservior is a result of the reservior filling up with with fuel, and the pressure causing the fuel/water mixture to come out of the radiator cap.- rmwitt
