I took one of my valve covers of today, just to take a peek... I will be doing head gaskets and valve seals with head studs or at least new bolts soon, in anticipation for the turbo!! Anyways my push rods had the copper colored end agianst the rocker, my two manuals say to be sure the copper end...
how does it fit into the probe fitting on a turbo then?? just curios
dont have it in front of me, just going to buy soon.. I dont have a turbo either. just hoping I could thread it right into the manifold... if not is there another manufactor that makes one I could do that with?
This qeustion is for you guys that have a autometer ultra lite pyrometer. If I drill and tap a hole in my exuast manifold will the probe screw right in? or does a bung have to be welded in??

I am also now looking at the hypermax pulse system.. dose anyone know how it sounds straight piped... lot of turbo whisle? I have found clips of an ATS strighted piped on you tube but nothing with hypermax... I want the loud turbo noise!

It talks about an opional injector line for one of the cyl., is that something that comes with it? I guess if I had the pparts in front...
I have a 87 6.9 that I have really been thinking of putting a turbo on, but I have a few questions about the motor being in good enough shape for it.. I am not sure of the milage, either 120k or 220k. I do use about 1 qt. of oil in about 400 miles, I don't have and blow by smoke come out the dip...

I removed my CDR to clean/ inspect it and it had quite a bit of oil in it. Also when I blew through it it was wide open, is it suposed to restrictive? I just want to be sure it is working properly. This is on an 87 6.9L.
I have an 87 f-250 reg. cab 4x4 6.9 with auto tranny. I need to buy a new front rotor for it and do not know if I have the D44HD or D50, How do I tell?
Did all the diesels come with the D50?
