    They're 2 totally different engines. The only thing they share in common is their displacement of 444 cubic inches or 7.3 liters. I don't even think that there's one bolt that would transfer.

    I'd run it a bit more than 1000, maybe 2-3000, I'm not the expert though. But you back them off a quarter turn and then do them multistage in sequence like regular. Check a few of them before you get to torqueing, you'll be surprised at how loose they are.

    Don't forget what Smokey the Diesel says, "only YOU can retourque your heads after a couple thousand miles....... unlike that do-do brain Jesus Freak who almost screwed some stuff up. But he caught it in time and there was no real damage...... he's coming around".

I guess that makes $20 worth of O rings worth $300......at least I feel better. Here's a picture of my $280 toy truck...

    Don't use any type of silicone on a automatic transmission or our ZF5s that are lubricated by ATF. Other than that I've seen some old trannys that ain't leaking from the old cork gasket, but like @Rdnck84_03 said the rubber is probably best.

    I suffer from the same thing. Even using my hand pump to fuel up with my oil mix it'll back up really annoying like. I reconciled myself to it as a way to learn patience.

    The hard/scary part was the "struggle for life" moments of getting the monstrosity back under there and getting a bolt started! I had this little cart thing I got out of a junk pile that was just the right size for it to sit on and roll around. I had to jack the bed up to clear the main mounting...
