compression values
Anyplace I can look up compression values and blowby for my '84 f250 6.9idi...odometer has rolled over an unknown number of times...Whats a good number to work with? Want to determine if truck is worth putting anymore time and effort into...new IP, injectors, and GPs...looks to be around...- ulmapache

Premature GP failure
Ok, 6 months ago, R+R'd GPs, used Berus...now acting like GPs are failed again...any suggestions on why they would fail so soon? Manual GP button... '84 F250, 6.9idi, T-19 2WD 160,000 miles...I think. Runs well when she runs...- ulmapache

air intrusion
Ok, 1984 f250, 6.9, t19, 2wd...new fuel (lift) pump, new front tank and sending unit, switch valve ok...was getting air intrusion when running on front tank, hesitation, surging...rear tank worked fine...went thru the front tank, now rear tank doing the same thing and gauge is not reading...- ulmapache

Ok, '84 F250, 2WD, 6.9idi, T19... New front tank, sending unit, switch valve blown out with air... Everything copasetic during normal driving around town, or hiway...however, if I put my foot to the floor after getting into 4th (around 25mph or so)...after a bit, I will get some hesitation and...- ulmapache

fuel pump
Does the mechanical fuel pump act as a check valve to prevent fuel from draining out of the filter? If fuel is draining out (filter not completely full, half full) does that indicate a failing fuel pump? Thx...- ulmapache

Ok, so, how do I tell what sending unit to order for the front tank on a 1984 f250 6.9idi? Several are on the web...some with a pump, some without, some for a 17 gallon tank, some for a 19 gallon tank... Do I remove the old one and go from there, or is there a way to tell either from the door...- ulmapache

Fuel tank pickup tube
Noob to the forum here...Ok, I'm sure this has been flogged to death several times, but a search did not come up with anything...figured that my pickup tube is bad on the front tank...runs out after 5 gallons... will not install a "foot" type, but rather go with some of the options I've read...- ulmapache
