1994 turbo 7.3 idi Injection pump timing
I have a timing light that I can set the degrees with. Do I set the timing light to 8.5 degrees set the engine to 2000rmp and line the scribe mark on the dampener with the bottom pointer (circled in the picture) not the top one right?- 94ferd

1994 turbo 7.3 idi Injection pump timing
I have a snap on diesel timing tool and I would like to check the timing since I have had the ip rebuilt. What is the correct timing specification? I’ve read anywhere from 6.5 degrees, 8 degrees, and 9.5 degrees. I would appreciate someone who has actually timed one before, to chime in. Thanks- 94ferd
