I just went through a similar situation. I turned out to be a broken black part in my fuel tank. I dropped the tank and found it in pieces blocking the end of the pickup tube. Then pulled the tank selector off. Also was clogged with smaller pieces. Truck runs better than it ever did and I have...
I have a 90 c350 centurion 7.3 with the banks kit put on when it was built. My downpipe and y pipe are shot and need to be replaced. Do I have to get these from banks or are they avalible from somewhere else.
I have retrofitted over a thousand r12 systems to 134a. As a rule, we only do systems from 1988 and up because of the higher pressures of 134a. Its easy, just by the retro kit, change your high and low side fittings, Open the empty system and add 8 oz of pag oil.Vacuum it down and recharge with...
I just changed the oil 2000 miles ago along with the fuel filter. 3 days ago I drained the water seperator. I will change the cps next. Will post if that fixed it. Thanks Mark
02 7.3 powerstroke 60,000 miles. Stalls some times everyday, but hit the key and it will fire right back up and run for hours. Maybe a cps, does that stand for crank position senser or cam position senser? Thanks guys.
Yes 200 miles to get the air up to the bleeder. Or am I sucking air from somewhere else? But it only does this when I open the fuel system to do a repair or change the fuel filter.
Every time I change or remove the fuel filter I bleed the system. But after 200 miles in dies and I have to bleed it again to get it started. Why does it take so long for the air to get up there? After the 2nd bleeding it is fine till I open the system for service.
I have a 90 C350 w/7.3 /banks turbo. I need to repair a fuel leak on top of the intake. I am assuming it is the return line or injector oring leaking somewhere. Is there a kit from ford that would contain what I need to do the job? I have around 180,000 on it and would like to repair this before...
lockrite
I have installed a lot of these in peoples jeeps. They are very noisy when they unlock on turns, but never seen one break. Most people complain about the noise.
So the filter was clogged or had water in the bottom and froze. What turns on the fuel filter light? I had the truck 3 weeks and it was doing this slightly going into 3rd gear. Another new guy question, does the seperator drain the water itself out the little hose on the bottom of the filter?
Plugged the truck in for 2 hours this morn, went down to 11. Started good. Warmed it up and left for work. I had twice the power I ever had before! Then the fuel filter light came on. At traffic lights it would go out, then go back on. When I pulled up to my shop, it was back to normal and no...
I just got my truck last week. Yes in the morn it don't want to start. What is the proper way to cold start this engine? I do think I need new glowplugs, I just want to know the controller is suposed to work like that.
When I turn my key on something under the hood keeps clicking. It does this 30 times then stops. Cycle the key and it starts clicking again. The voltmeter moves on each click. Is this how it heats the glowplugs or is something wrong? 1990 7.3 idi w/banks turbo. Thanks
