Well now that I have the truck running and driving I have discovered that the track bar bushing on the frame end is bad and the truck goes into death wobble on any little bump. The dealer wants 300 bucks so does any one else have any ideas? Thanks again for your help.

Hey guys just finished putting the replacment engine in an 03 cummins and I can not get it started. I know all the bad about ether but if i spray just a little in it trys to start but won't how do I prime the fuel system. Thanks David
Haven't been around much lately but just thought I'd drop in and show an IDI can still tow cross country no problem. Over Christmas My Family and I went to Baja and took all the toys with us. I ended up towing our 33' fifth wheel with three quads, three dirt bikes, and Jeep, which was an...
Does anyone have the International Part number for the fuel heater in the filter header? Mine started leaking badly today out the top and at first I thought it was the o-ring but now I see the plastic is cracked so I need a whole new fuel heater. I spent two hours at the IH dealer today but we...
Hey guys,
I am helping a friend install gauges in his 96' cummins and had a few questions. How do you all feel about letting the metal shavings pass though the turbo after drilling the exhaust manifold or should the turbo be pulled and shavings vacumed out? Is there any place on the manifold...
Hi All,
I usually spend all my time over in the Ford section but I stumbled on a Dodge today I think is a killer deal. Heres the deal Its an 2003 2500 crew cab long bed 4x4. The truck is loaded pretty well with power windows, door locks, infinity sound system and so on. The truck is currently...
Ok so I'm finally getting around to putting my holley electric pump on but I have been told that diesel and especially the WVO and Bio-diesel that I run will eat though the regular rubber line from auto zone. So what line should I get to be reliable and not worry about leaks in a fews months.
So I went to wire a new trailer plug on the back of my truck and found a bunch of wires that go no where but I would like to know what they do. So hopefully some one with a factory manual can tell me what they are for.
There are four plugs and two of which have three wires and one has two wires...
Well I just gave the truck a 2hr bath so it looks decent for prom. No one at my school believes that I'm driving it but I wouldn't drive anything else.
Here's some pics let me know what you think.
So my truck is needing the front end gone through and I am looking for opinons on what brand parts will last a while. On my old truck I used Checker parts but those went bad after only 10,000 miles granted they were lifetime warranty parts but I don't want to change ball joints every 10,000...
So today I was out looking under the hood of my truck when I noticed a nice pool of diesel on the intake. Followed it back to four injector caps that are leaking but I can't tell if any of it is coming from the IP. So my Quetsion is how hard are these too change and is it worth doing a new IP...
I just bought one of these but it didn't come with the manual. Does anyone have a manual they would be willing scan and email me or copy and mail to me.
Thanks David
Ok so I searched for this but couldn't really find an answer. I have found an 89' diesel truck parting out in my area and it's a 5-speed. So I called and talked to the guy for a while and told him I was interested in everything to put his tranny in my truck which would include tranny, fly wheel...
Does any have the part number for the Snap-On luminosity probe needed for a 7.3. I am looking at a old MT480 but I want to make sure I don't have to buy a $200 probe. Thanks in advance
I just got a new Autometer Pyrometer to replace the stupid dual Hypermax gauge but I want to make sure the sending unit for the pyrometer is in the right place. Let me know what you guys think.
So I just read in another thread that a guy used a normal timing light to adjust the timing on the IP. Is this possible? And if so how. I have been wanting to check my truck for some time but thought it required a special tool. Thanks for any help
David
Well I just got my tranny fluid and filter changed and now its time to address my shifter issue. It is very loose on the column and not adjusted right. while reading the book about the 8lb weight on the shifter in drive. I noticed that I can move my shifter from drive to second and back just by...
I am putting a red holley on my truck but I don't know how to tap into the plastic lines under the truck. Do I strip them off the connectors at the selector valve and other end and replace them with rubber or cut and heat them to slide over barbed fitting on pump. pictures would be a big help...
