    093 Up Pipe install

    I had the same problem with my install. I bent the firewall and jacked up the body with 4x4s between the mounts and the frame. This still was not enough clearance. I ended up just separating the up pipe and installing the two pieces.

    Any good deals on transmission jacks?

    I pulled the carpet and front seat, removed the panel in the floor and stuck my engine hoist in the door for a clutch change on my 92 with a ZF-5. Just something to consider, it worked great.

    I just got done with this same project. After seeing the 94 engine, you should have a great map to start with instead of going in cold like I did. I had to relocate the GP controller, I heat wrapped and secured part of the GP harness and one or 2 fuel return lines to get them off of the turbo...

    Did you try to lift the body and decide against it? Is there any type of sealant that can be used on the up pipe to ensure a good seal?

    Thanks, but my DP fits perfectly. I just need to know if there are any tricks to wiggling this up pipe into place.

    The entire system is a factory take off from a 94 IDI truck. The only mod is a modified 3" PSD downpipe that fits well after massaging the firewall
