    gauges quit need help

    I started my '97 auto this morning fine. All gauges worked well for about 10-20 seconds.Then, they all quit at the same time. Tac, oil pressure, engine temp and volt meter now not working. Could it be a connection, but where and is their a common well know cause for this. Ken

    I'm lookin' at a 95 5speed 4x4 and read a lot about the 5 speed tranny. Are all 5 speeds doomed to a loose fifth gear nut and backyard fixes or is there a for sure pre failure fix? This truck has about 150 k miles on it.
