    Considering a 91 Chevy build

Why spend 5,000 building a 400 hp small block when you can buy a crate motor with a warrenty for the same price? Frames and cab mounts rot. Other then that it should be a solid truck. And lookie there, this post is 3 months old.

    Selectable locker for Sterling?

Why do you want an E-locker? What you posted is a normal limited slip and not a locker. Just googleing I found that Detroit makes one...

    A 460 vs. Towing?

I agree. It sure seems too be that way. I'll put it like this. My 61,000 mile 1991 460 has it. This one also had no cats from the factory. Pulls very nice and returns awesome mpg for a bb. My old 1 owner 1997 f350 had it. With 38,000 miles. Most after market 72-up sets are retarded if...

    A 460 vs. Towing?

Nope. EFI 460s have the straight up timing sets already.

    94 460 mpg

I would just like too say that the 88+ EFI motors have straight up timing. It was only the carb motors from roughly 72-87 that had this factory (defect) Just so theres no confusion on this subject.

Replacement cabs for 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks?

That was a long time ago. Before dynacore(?) even came out. But it was sweet with the zz572 in it with no2. Nothing more too add besides his willys wagon was cooler IMO.

    Converting a D200 to a W200, worth it?

I am not familier with these era dodge (had a 80s 1/2 ton) but most trucks from this era a pain too convert too 4wd. You would be money ahead buying a frame and swapping the drivetrain/body over too it.

4.2s are not OHC. They have rods.

Clutch suggstions on clutch for mazda m5r2

Clutch is getting tired in my v6 f1. It has the Mazda m5r2 tranny in it. This tranny was used in f150s and broncos from 1987-2008. I'm sure some one will have something too say.

    Another oil thread!

Amsoil has a great cold pour point which seals the deal for me. A friend has a early 99 (the ones with the weird air filter) super duty for nearly 200k and uses the super tech oil. Truck has 300k on it with out a over haul or any of the normal problems. Does seem too burn oil now though.

    Steel Dually Fenders?????

Seen a lot of newer fiberglass beds shattered. IMO I would make a step side bed that's wide enough too cover the duals (think 80-86 Fords) But that's not really on topic and I have never seen steel flare side dually beds. So... good luck.

    1986 F250 4x4 build "Sarge"

Its camo? I thought he hit a deer with it and didn't want too wash his kill off.

    1997 4.2L F-150 Oil Sending Unit

Depends on the year of the engine. 97-98 had intake problems that would cause dumb stuff like hydrolocking and such. 99+ are good. I have seen many at 200,000 plus with little maintance. I have a 2000 model that runs great. The sending unit is a very common problem with these trucks. It is...

    What oil do you use?

Quaker state in the gassers and Delo in the big trucks.

I just restored this Toyota 4x4, 75k original miles. 84'

85 would be the best model too have.

    94 460 mpg

My 91 e350 rv gets 10mpg with 456's all day long. This is 65mph highway though. Stop and go its roughly 8. Wet weight is like 10,500. 1997 f350 that was lifted with a zf would hit 13 at times. But it was mostly single digits and all. Cant really say it was broke in when it was sold. Not even 50k.

87 5.0 upper intake manifold removal

T45. But you will not beable too use a socket style Torx. What I ended up doing was cutting the socket part away from the 3/8 Torx t45 drive and then using a 7mm (1/4" socket too hold the Torx drive in place. Don't replace the Torx bolt in the same location, leave it out in the open...
