I have bought a lot of stuff from the US and know that couriers like to **** you for brokerage. A few options for you:
1. ship to a border mailbox and retrieve it yourself
2. Have it shipped by courier but specify that you wish to do your own brokerage. UPS (for example) will require you to...
I switched an an electric pump (Walbro) and found that it cycled a lot (pulse rate seemed high). I found that the filter head vent (return line) was bypassing a lot of fuel so I pinched it. You can greatly reduce the fuel flow though the return line, theoretically increasing your supply...
I did the HG's on my truck last summer. Big job but very rewarding. A list of comments to confirm / reiterate what may have already been stated.
1. Do head studs. To save money I used Xotic performance studs (way less $ than ARP). Very happy with them.
2. Make sure you rebuild the oil...
If you are replacing the starter consider getting the upgrade Powermaster 9050. This is a huge upgrade, especially over the crappy rebuilds you get with OEM style.
Check out a 'tone tracer'... Amazon has a Klein tools VDV500-705 for less than $100. I use mine mostly on house wiring but it works perfect for anything. You do need to be mindful to not attach it to a hot (110V) wire. I just used it to help trace a wiring problem at my sons house; he...
I am still running my Walbro... still have not had to service it. From the first page of this discussion, I have been running it since 2019! And, I do recommend restricting or blocking the return from the top of the filter. I replaced mine with a bleed valve for filter changes. Definitely...
Well I think it is finally time I pulled my 7.3. My oil pan is rusty as hell and needs to be changed. The final straw though is a transmission leak; I don't know where the leak is but I suspect the pump seal, gasket, or torque converter.
My question is specific to servicing the transmission...
Nice build! I made one also but I have a metal lathe and was able to manufacture a plug for the jack (rather than weld or JB). https://www.oilburners.net/threads/just-another-homemade-pop-tester.75884/
Try reducing the bypass at the top of the fuel filter. That pump has lots of cap - most of the fuel is vented back to the tank.
You can test this by pinching the return hose (at the filter) and the walbro will slow down almost to a stop.
HS108 has the correct procedure posted. It is very easy to install these bearings too loose - everything is heavy and hard to give the hand shake test. It is unlikely it will be too tight if you can rotate the hub with one strong hand.
Do it yourself with a laser level and two target boards in front and in rear. Shoot rear rims front and back. Split marks to find your centerline with respect to the rear axle. Repeat with front wheels, use your centerline mark to align steering wheel and one wheel, then the other.

If keeping the 50, do the pivot bushings.
If switching to d60, I prefer a stock height - which is about 4" higher than a stock f250. Jacking a truck and putting oversized boots ruins a truck IMO. Or maybe I am just too practical (old). Nothing cooler than a clean build.
My truck rides way better on the D60. The spring stack on the 50 is crazy stiff because of the pivot point. For example, it would be insane to use d50 springs on a d60. I don't understand any reason to have the ttb at all... ok, maybe better articulation or bragging "independent suspension" but...
Might want to change the u-joints while you are in there (more bad news?). While you are at it, put in new bushings in the leaf springs and the D50 pivot. When I did mine I just installed a D60!
That escalated quickly :***:
I highly recommend XRF. https://www.xrfchassis.com/parts-balljoints.htm
For alignments, I do my own using a cheap laser level (hardware store one about 12" long). I use the rear rims to shoot a reference mark in front and behind (set up 2x4's) to determine the centre line, then shoot the...
My Walbro still thumpin away... just delete the mechanical and power up an FRB. Best mod I have done.
Parts list is a pump, and a block off plate where your mechanical was. Awesome pump.
One upgrade I did to my controller was adding an oil pressure switch - as soon as the engine has oil pressure the GP's are turned off. For hot start, just jump in and crank - oil pressure is almost immediate so no burn.
I have had this fail me once... at the bush overnight at -25 C... truck...
