I got a 1988 f-250 with the 6.9 idi. Well the fuel gauge starting waving at me and then went out. I swapped a new sending unit and now the gauge pegs out way past the full mark. Okay, I installed the new IP and one of the fittings that the hard lines hook to is dripping. CLS II leak for those who understand military jargon drip...drip...drip, about every 7-10 seconds. new to the 6.9 liter
What are some pro's and con's of this engine? This is the first diesel I've ever "owned". Its a 1988 f-250 w/ a 6.9. it had the 7.3 till a friend of the previous owner ran it with a bad radiator and literally seized the engine. so the 6.9 got put in its place. taking a huge chance with this...- bigtex
