    I posted this on the wrong forum. So here we go again... I'm buying a 94 12V. Its not running and pretty ugly. So where can i stat reading about these engines. I know there isn't a lot too them and i'm used to working on the old Ford 6.9 and 7.3 IDI so i'm thinking it can't be too much different.

    Thats called oil in the coolant. It helps with lubercating the insides of the cooling system. :rolleyes:

    Injector question

    Also, he has a tach in the truck but its not hooked up (its aftermarket). Where can i wire the tach to? Also i'll put a pyro on the list and mount it in place of the clock in the center console.

    This one already shows some black when you get your foot into it. But I also dont' want to blow anything up. Is a pyro important on a non turboed engine. I'm thinking i'm going to pull of his flow master muffler and let it go straight piped. It will probably help some things out.

    My friend has a 6.9 IDI. I'm going to put in a rebuilt injector pump or if there is a better injector pump what is it? Also, can i put 7.3L IDI injectors into a 6.9L IDI, to give it more fuel, or would it help anything or just hydrolock it? Just an idea. He was trying to talk me into replacing...

    I've heard don't go over 1350. I let her max at 1250-1300. I really need an IC, actually I have an IC. I just need to talk one of yall commin over to help me install it :D.

    Hooking up Tach

    My friend has a 6.9 IDI. Someone put an aftermarket console and Tach in. The Tach isn't hooked up. There are several other guages that were not connected but i hooked those up. I also need to replace the speaker wire that goes to the electric fuel pump and put some fuses on some of this stuff...

    Put a flow master muffler on it. It'll give it a mean tone. A friend of mine has a flow master on his, he bought it that way. By the way, very nice work.
