sounds like a controller to me but i am no expert. there is a great diagram floating around this forum that shows you how to wire in a manual switch. just some wire, connectors, fuse and the switch.

this truck seems really low for solid front end. is it possible that the reverse arch springs were retained?

A+ for effort, but one of the dumbest trucks i've ever seen. flames from the exhaust? 14 shocks? purple flame-things? wow.
what exactly are all those shocks on the rear dif doing? haha
well i check 7/8 injectors. on the last one the line started to twist and i didn't want to wreck it and end up having to fix a truck that is not mine.
so i'm 87% sure its NOT an injector knock.
she said she's drivin it 2 years with that same sound. can't really notice it with hood closed...
it defineately had leaky return lines.
had zero blow-by. but engine was cold.
maybe someone could post a good video of what injector knock sounds like. youtube has failed me.

looking to buy this truck. i have owned an 86 6.9l prior to this.
the wait to start light came on and somethin was clickin like mad under the hood.
cranked it and it revved the piss out of itself for...
only owned an IDI. i've never so much as popped the hood on a 7.3 psd and i'm going to check one out on saturday. might buy it. ext cab long box f250 4x4 197,000 km, 122,000 miles.
what does normal blow by look like at this many kms?
what else can i check?
well its come to this. i have some horrible noises coming from within the engine and i need to check for injector knock.
one question though, is cracking the line while the truck is running dangerous with the pressures involved?
thought i'd chime; in i'm in the same situation. my oil consumption is a lot worse though. i am waiting on a CDR valve to see if that helps.

so you wheeled with stock f250 suspensions?!?!? how was your back after?
if i was gonna wheel mine i'd definately get some softer springs!! would cut down on frame flex too
