I haven't been on here in quite awhile, anyways my truck was running great all winter even cold starting -20! It was sitting for about a month and I put a jug of fuel in because it was low. It started up and I had it running for about an hour that night.
The next day it started right up and...
Ok I thought I'd have this forever but I believe metering valve is going out in injector pump and have other vehicles. It has alot of stuff done in the last few years but still needs cosmetic things like interior I started switching to tan along time ago and still need some moulding pieces...
Hmm maybe I need to look at mine closer. Mine was leaking there and I got an oring from the parts store that fit and put it in there. I ordered the international one and was like 4.00! Well it still leaked so I decided to put the international one in and its still leaking. Maybe its my heater...
Well I really scratched my head last night and this morning. I ended up putting a tee in the return line and put the original air vent fitting back in the filter head so it can vent air there. I had my fsv all apart last night and I was thinking it was bad because I could screw it down and could...
Okay home now, really couldn't decide what I wanted to do in town. I bought a 1/4" barb tee for the return line kit, some 1/4" clear line and I found the fitting at home for the air vent but haven't checked yet but it might be smaller than 1/4" I picked up some new fuel line clips and some carb...
Anyone take their fsv apart? I know I read about someone on here doing it. I can see where it unclips to come apart but there is 4 rivets holding it together.
I should still have the air vent fitting, I just put a brass plug there when I did a new return kit. Could this cause any air to sorta build pressure and push fuel out the oring? The oring on the heater fits tightly. When I removed the fuel lines at the filter today there was a burst of air and...
Well actually that line isn't hooked up there is a plug in the filter head. I was wondering if that could cause the air to not bleed but thought that much driving would help. I keep getting fuel seeping out the heating element and I have tried 2 new orings. The coolant just started doing that...
Thats what I have always done, I have had some pretty stubborn ones though even using a fork. Some guys on here have had stuff pretty rusty though and its a lot harder to get stuff apart.
I believe its the socket on the left. Its a little shorter but its bigger diameter. It also looks oilier so its probably the last one I used, its been awhile since I had a dana 44 apart.
I was going to do my valve seals and ended up just letting the machine shop do them while I had the heads off. I would have liked to of tried them but was in a hurry so I just had him do it.
Okay the truck has been running great. I have only been running on the rear tank as there is no front tank just the lines at the selector valve. I just pulled a tractor 100 miles home and no problem. Well I have an aluminum tank that holds 11 gallons that I wanted to hook up to switch between...
I have a welded flywheel and a sprung clutch. I bought a whole sachs clutch kit that was for a dmf and it had springs so I went with that one. It cost me like 15.00 to have my flywheel welded and I have drove about 1000 miles on it so far. The only annoying thing is either the TOB they sold me...
Okay I am surfing craigslist and found these not sure if its a good deal or if there is even any tool kits anyone here would need but figured it might be worth a look for some.

Also I just put in my new temperature sending units (forgot to take out the old ones when I hate the heads cleaned) and drove a few hours yesterday right at the N or under on Normal.
I started having my truck run hot last year. I finally decided to switch to the correct antifreeze but when I did apparently my thermostat decided it wouldn't open at the same time. As soon as I started the truck the top hose was rock hard. I kept thinking I had air in it and kept messing around...
I have changed a few fuel filters this way by filling the new ones with a quart of atf. I mainly do it because its easier than dumping diesel in but also heard a long time ago that it helps lube the ip.
When I rebuilt mine the hot side impellar had a few small dings on the wheel. I was going t replace but I think it was 175 but this is on a garret turbo not sure what banks uses. I reused mine. The compressor was in great shape. Mine was more like preventative before I installed it type of...
