    clutch bushing @ throwout arm?

Truck is still shifting hard into gears at times. Have not had alot of time to really get into it due to work and this is my 2ndary truck/toy. I did notice when I was underneath it appears that a thick piece of ziptie has been wedged between the ball end and clutch arm. Think just replacing that...

Heads up, for those thinking about a Brownie!

Thats a deal, looks like the one I put in my old Dodge, only better. I paid a 1000.00 back around 1999-2000 for the gear box alone.

    Lets Talk Aux Transmissions

I put a allison 545 auto & brown-lipe 3 spd in a 97 dodge 1 ton. Once setup it ran good and I had good gear options for the road. It was a hot shot truck pulling a 40' G/N trailer. You can shift the brownie when on the road too if needed. Leave auto in D (or OD in your case) and brownie in...

Any ideas on these 2 trucks?

Not that this helps any, but the 92' I just got is also hard to get into reverse. Mainly when the truck is first started in the AM, after driving some it shifts easier. Definetly sounds like the flywheel is going to need to be replaced sooner than later. I did the SMF on my 89' and loved it...

    Its almost mine!!

Still working on trading my 91 Toyota ex cab,2wd,5spd for this 92 f-250 IDI, 5 spd 2wd ex cab. The F-250 looks pretty good, original paint, 294k and after driving it some, it shifts better than I thought. Reverse is still a pain at times. Feel like a kid at Christmas. Will know tomorrow for...

    1992 IDI fuel leak

On the 92 I am looking at getting, need some thoughts on where leak is coming from. The owner tried to replace the caps/o-rings on the drivers side bank of injectors, passenger side has 1 that leaks cap is still factory color and he said he did not mess with that side yet. OK all 4 leak when...

    1992 5 spd question

How do you adjust the hydr. clutch setup on these trucks? It still has the stock setup with DM flywheel. No recent rebuild of tranny that he knows of. He is the 2nd owner and 1st owner was mechinc friend of his. The going under the truck, its very clean, even a couple stickers on the tranny are...

    1992 5 spd question

Looking at trading my toyota for a 92 f-250, 5 spd. Finally got to check the ford up close today. This thing is clean, can tell its been taken care of. Does leak fuel at the injector caps, where he tried to replace the o-rings. Anyways the 5 spd is hard, well harder to shift than my 89 was. Its...

    What would you do....

I have 05 Chevy 1/2 ton for my daily driver and have hauled 5-5500 lbs with it. It did good considering its got the 4.3. In that case the f250 would be better. It would be more of a work toy I guess, meaning thats how I would gear the truck up for, hauling/pulling. Having a daily driver gives me...

    What would you do....

Well I hit the point with it I decided it was time to cut it loose with everything it needed to be brought back into prime condition. So it was sold as was my other truck and I bought a 05...

    Part out or sell?

I had this Ford and Toyota Tacoma, Yota had 265k and the Ford has several hundred K for sure. The Ford with its age, abuse and high miles is nickle and diming me, plus the dependability is questionable to me now to be a daily driver especially with driving 2-300 miles on weekends to our...
