Steering issues...
Hey guys..long time no type.. my 2006 LBZ has some steering issues. It feels as though the power steering is intermittent. The dealer won't work on my suspension because i have 20"s with a 32" tall tire. anyone else had issues w/ their steering. FWIW, the problem started with the stockers on...- slingingsmoke

Probably some bad injectors. Take it to the dealer. They'll be under warranty for 200,000 miles. My Dad's 04 has had 4 replaced. my 06 is still running strong. This will happen without a CEL (check engine light) or a code being stored.- slingingsmoke

oil drain washer
get rid of it completely and buy a fumoto valve. Much quicker oil changes w/o the mess.- slingingsmoke

Excellent point. Depending on where you live (dusty, dirty conditions) the air filter should be changed out more frequently. I do mine ev. 20000 mi.- slingingsmoke

New Colorado I4 and I5
back to the oringinal question... We have a 2005 Colorado. It has the inline 5 cyl. It is very peppy, has gobbs of torque down low and got me about 24 mpg @ 85mph going from Los Angeles to Kingsburg, CA. (over the grapevine)- slingingsmoke

its good to find a hill and get on it about once a week or so. The EGR likes to get gummed up, so when you floor it and generate some boost, it tends to clean out the intercooler as well as EGR and other components and evaporate much of the oil left in the intercooler due to the CCV system.- slingingsmoke

they usually throw a code/SES light in the smog/hippie/tree-hugging states (i.e. California) I know. I live here.- slingingsmoke

Will this be it for a while
well, they're (ford) not dropping the six 'oh. They're just punching out the cylinders for more Cu In. "rumor" has it that it'll be a similar block casting.- slingingsmoke

Blown Turbo
its an 04/04, 10/03 build date. It had erradic Idle since about 6,000 mi. went to the dealer three times and said that the engine light came on and off. They said it was the "ghost code" and didn't even write me up. Combined with the three times they did work on it, it would've been 6 trips...- slingingsmoke
