No Power
I think the fault is the timing. I just reinstalled the pump. I mounted a new electric lift pump. I installed a new big rig fuel filter before the new electric pump. The fuel to the fi pump is great, Tomorrow or soon, gonna start twisting the pump. The temps just dropped to 34 degrees F. Frank- frank-id

I just finished replacing both heads on my 7.3 IDI in a school bus. The task was done very carefully. The engine starts immediately. No heavy black smoke anytime. No power. 7.3 IDI injection pump Now it works

Fuel problem
My 7.3 injection pump is fussy I have been trying to get my injection pump to make pressure. I have changed pumps and the check valve on the top of the pump. Fuel problem
The lift pump output is about 5-7 pounds All the hard lines are off the injectors. The pump is jumper direct. Fuel is only in pump but does not appear any place. Thanks for the replys. Gonna change the pump tomorrow. It is dark here in Idaho at 6:33. I'll remove the fitting on top first...- frank-id

Fuel problem
No fuel i connected the lift pump to run all the time. I connected the injection pump to the battery source. I opened slightly the triangle cover on the side of the injection pump. Fuel flooded out. There is no fuel at the injector lines, not connected to injectors, no fuel out of return...- frank-id

Fuel problem
Gave engine 7.3, a valve grind. Replaced all parts on engine. Removed factory fuel pump and installed new electric fuel pump. All electric connections connected. My 1991 Ford idles poorly
Checked each injector. I cracked each injector several times. I also cracked each injector after a test ride of five miles. The engine idles very lumpy and disjointed. The idle is about 625-650 rpm. When the throttle is opened to about 1000 rpm, all is good. Frank- frank-id

My 1991 Ford idles poorly
Today I changed all the injectors and hoses. Fuel filter is clean. The engine runs good and makes better power but the engine does not idle well. Shall I now take a compression test or is the pump tired? The injectors were changed because of poor idle and no power. Suggestions needed...- frank-id

Help a brother out, many questions inside.
Lite switch knob removal Most Ford lite switch knobs can only be removed by pressing a spring type button on the switch. Disconnect the batteries first. Replacing the knob is just a push into the switch. Frank- frank-id

How can I Fix this...Plastic :(
Center console I enlarged the cup holders to hold my thermos cup and others. Remove unit and spray foam into both corners, allow to cure for a few days. Now ya can add some fiberglas cloth and resin. The correct paint will make a great resto repair. Frank- frank-id

Flat bed questions
In my experiences, it is far more costly to build a bed than to buy a bed and make it your way. I am a pro welder with lots of experience. I looked for about 3 months and bought a truck with a bad engine and trans for $800. The bed needed some repair and changes. Frank- frank-id

It would seem there is little or no vacuum storage. Start the engine for a few minutes. Stop engine and remove hose connected to tank on drivers inner fender. The brake booster could also be bad and uses all the stored vacuum quickly. Frank- frank-id
