No compression on #7
I dropped off my '88 f250 at a diesel shop here in Allentown PA (fuelinjection.net) to get tuned up, because of a shake at idle and grey smoke on acceleration. They just called back with my worst fears, no compression on #7. They dont think it's valve related, either. im going to bring it...- smitty97

Electric issues
hey all.. i had a little scare today on the way to/from work. my volt gauge would flutter from ~13 volts to the red 8v like something was shorted out intermittently.. it didnt seem to be related to speed or bumps or anything. also, the radio & headlights would dim at the same time. i...- smitty97

factory tachometer dead!
hi all, im new to this forum, and diesels as well. just picked up a '88 f250 4x4 cheap, and it needs some tlc. i had lots of fun -cuss repairing the fuel lines that were leaking and eating my driveway. anyway, among other issues, the tach is DOA. normally id trace back from the distributor...- smitty97
