    Looks like it was the relay. But only a short drive will tell. As the tac likes to quit in about 4-6 miles of driving. Thank you OLDBULL8 for your help. Later that day Took the truck for about a 20 mile drive and not a hiccup with the tach. Happy to have the trans out of limp mode.

    That is some great paper right there OLDBULL8. Who knew that the eec relay if for the tach. I bet that, that is my problem. Just had the other relay for the trailer & tow lights go bad. Its right next to that relay and they are both original relays.

    You should have a very small amount of play in the shaft of the water pump. Like 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch, some thing like that.     I prefer the right stuff gasket maker is all. Ive had very good luck with it. Ive got 50k miles on a transmission pan and oil pan that I could not get a gasket for and not a leak from it yet.

    When I was having a hard time starting I used my wife's hair dryer in the intake for 15 min in the morning, followed by a good long shot of PB blaster down the intake. It did the trick and got me going for the day until I had time to track down where my problem was.

    Yes I saw air but nut sure if it was pulling from the system, bleeder, or from the rubber seal that goes over the bleeder.

    You might want to check your FIPL. It controls your shift points for an automatic trans. I was having hard and high shift point due to a bad FIPL sensor.

    Ok so I have two relays that I found. I know one of them goes to the EEC and the other I have no clue. I have an option for trailer & tow and Fuel pump. My guess as these don't have electric fuel pumps it would be for the trailer & tow. Sorry night time and not much light for the pics.

    Yes I did the RR LR RABS FR FL. I looked it up in my Chilton's. I adjusted the rear shoes about 2 mounts ago. I will bleed the system again tomorrow and see what happens. Thank you for the reply
