Did my grandpa add a fix to the clutch rod?

Tomorrow I’m installing a new clutch master cylinder and hose, the slave is brand new and installed. Had a new clutch kit installed and since I had I blew the old slave cylinder out and figured it’s time to service the hydraulics and pedal bushing. I’ve read about a lot of the methods used to...

Oil change, ran a small bead of RTC on the oil plug washer and checked all the fluids front to rear. Threw a 7lb radiator cap on, keeping the 13lb cap in my parts box in the back..just incase something wacky happens with the 7lb cap, haven’t ran one before Put LED bulbs behind the dash and got...

Interesting, I’ll see if that makes anything better. Appreciate you taking the time responding!! And I have definitely learned way more about our hydraulic clutch systems from the pedal forward than I ever thought I’d comprehend, thank God for this site and the YouTube. The more I’ve read...

    Slave cylinder travel

Thanks for taking the time to respond, that’s a good trick you shared with with the strap. I’m going to accept that I have about 1” of pedal and see what happens over the next week. Maybe it’s within the range of normal after a new clutch kit to have to push the clutch pedal almost down the...

    Slave cylinder travel

Ran by a couple shops and they just said it’s what ya got until everything settles and wears in some, and to keep on trucking. They also said it’s not abnormal with everything being brand new and that my slave seemed to be actuating just fine. Just got home from Napa and bought an new LUK...

    Slave cylinder travel

this look about right? After the shop did my rear main and installed a Brute Force clutch kit I have to just about depress my clutch pedal to the floor, when I let off after going into gear I have about an 1” of pedal before it engages. I used to be able to go into gear with the clutch pedal...

    Seat Covers

I’d pay some good $ for seat covers that don’t slide all over the place and need constant adjustments

Just had my rear main seal replaced,

Said I’d update this thread once the issue was resolved. The shop installed a Motorcraft rear main seal and the owner installed it himself, it’s dry as a bone now after a few days of driving it. It was warrenteed, they also cleaned up my T19 and it’s no longer as “wet” looking Realized my...

    Window weather stripping

I believe #13 from what you’ve described. As far as front vs rear stripping, should be the same style molding and the length may need to be trimmed down. I’m in the process of doing mine on my 83, tired of the whistling...just wanna hear that diesel noise

Any body in Oregon know about this truck?

I noticed that to, CarFax included on the eBay listing showed it being delivered in ID in 85, then registered in WA until 2016, then back to being registered in ID....and now for whatever reason the seller has it in Happy Valley, Oregon. A family member might have passed on and the truck was...

Any body in Oregon know about this truck?

I’d definitely never bid on something like that just because she’s pretty without looking it over, a cold start and driving it. Anyone else notice it didn’t have a cowl seal? It’s amazingly clean looking though, I’m watching it on Ebay to see how high it will go as the bidding is over tomorrow

Just had my rear main seal replaced,

I’ve read in places that it’s not uncommon to back the head bolts off slightly and retorque the bolts, http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f30/head-gasket-oil-leak-264977/#/topics/264977?page=1 One day the truck will tell me when it’s time for a new set of Fel-Pro gaskets
