    Looking at 6.9 to buy

Seems a bit high, personally I’d keep looking for another. Or, if you like it then maybe offer $1,800...just my gut feeling but it’s probably gonna need a good bit work Worth is only relevant to what you’re willing to pay, good luck on your truck hunt!!

Source of tools for timing IDI

I’ve only found the Gunson 77089 offered on Ebay from the UK. It’s $200, and uses the pulse clamp on the injection line. There are used Rotunda and other units for sale (used) on Ebay, usually between $275-$375

    Sourcing an OE clutch fork

I know what you’re saying, I work in the industry. But never mind OE or NOS stuff out there, even in aftermarket offerings some things are just plain scarce. And the aftermarket parts aren’t always a great quality or a good fit. And damn, I’m getting old...I remember my dad driving home in...

    Sourcing an OE clutch fork

Shops going to fab the one I found online some to make the geometry absolutely correct, never thought I’d find a part on an 80’s ford which was so hard to source. Makes me want to start hoarding parts in my garage...basement, attic storage, lol

    Sourcing an OE clutch fork

Found a bunch of OE clutch forks for the ZF5, part # E7TZ-7515 A. not certain if it would work with my T19 yet, they look similar...been googling it to see, dang chart above at least shows me all the part #’s for all applications including part # upgrades. Probably an omen to switch to a ZF5...

    Sourcing an OE clutch fork

My old one, it’s worn out bad where the pivot ball makes contact because it hadn’t been greased.

    Sourcing an OE clutch fork

im having a difficult time finding a new or used OE clutch fork for my 83 F-250 w/ T-19. Do any of y’all have a good used one? Tried sourcing one through the dealer route with no luck, reason I’m looking for one is that are which makes contact with the pivot ball is gouged out badly. I was...

    Stuck on highway

Good call, and consider if you replace that section of line(from frame to lift pump induction side) keeping the fuel hose looped just as Ford just has it done. That loop helps absorb the stretching that happens while everything flexes. Good luck, don’t get to frustrated, a mountain is climbed...

    Upgraded LUK clutch kit?

Eventually you’ll be on top of it, just keep plunging away over time. These trucks won’t ever lose value wether sentimentality or monetarily. They’re worth it. Besides, look at the price of a new one and imagine the monthly payments...makes an $800 clutch job not seem to dang bad!!

    Upgraded LUK clutch kit?

Good to know, look forward to having it installed. I had just done the master and slave cylinder (LUK) and new hydraulic line to. Feels good to slowly fix up these amazing old rigs

    Upgraded LUK clutch kit?

Ha ha!! Nice, yeah I had just ordered the LUK 12” kit, I get a discount from NAPA and it’s an “expensive” perk of the job!!! Lol, buying more parts and tools than I ever had before!!

    Upgraded LUK clutch kit?

Long story short, truck has a brand new Brute Force clutch kit. Pressure plate bolts had backed off and I had drove it about 50 miles with 2 of the bolts 1/3 the way backed out. I don’t trust the shop that did the work to warranty it, the shop had tightened them up and inspected it it with the...

    Upgraded LUK clutch kit?

For my 83 in my signature, got the T-19 4 speed. Anybody ever run the upgraded 12” clutch vs the standard 11”? The upgrade 12” clutch is a LUK 07-065 vs standard 11" LUK 07-026

BB Code VS G code Injectors

Exactly, trust me...Ebay isn’t a source you want to rely on for reliable and properly constructed injectors. It’s an expensive mistake and a waste of 1 1/2 hours to install and just plain frustrating, they won’t perform well. My first hand experience had been that all the Ebay/Amazon “new”...

Did I just have an injector stick?

Have you replaced you water separator filter? If not, I’d do it. Doesn’t hurt to try this either: Dump 2 bottles of Sea Foam in your tank, and put Sea foam in a new NAPA Gold fuel filter part # 3811, fire it up and let it run for 45s to a minute and shut her down. Let it sit overnight and...

Shop didn’t properly install pressure plate

I got them tightened so I could get it home. The owner of the shop I took it to in Magnolia spoke with the shop in Katy which had done the bad install and told them what he had discovered. The owner also showed me with a mirror that one of the fingers was jacked and clutch wasn’t engaging...

Shop didn’t properly install pressure plate

Figured out what caused weird clutch action and vibration, shop hadn’t torqued the bolts down correctly...and are those pressure plate bolts supposed to have washers to?

Did my grandpa add a fix to the clutch rod?

The firewall was flexing, I barely noticed it at first.
