    auxilery fuel tank

I have the 100 gallon version of that on my 94. It's plumbed into the engine supply and return with two 3 way valves, no problem. The extra height it has to go up is a minor restriction, you'll never notice it.

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

Here is where I stand today A good reason to replace the timing gear case as opposed to jb welding it How to fix a leaking radiator Ugh, cracked exhaust manifold. I am starting to wonder if there is anything that is not broke on this thing Ford didn’t really mean for...

Swapping motors in my 93 F250.

Wow, you got it out with the core support on AND the hood on. I guess the last time I pulled an engine with the core support on, it was with a backhoe so the hood definitely had to come off. Now I prefer to just pull the core support.

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

That would be GREAT. I've done lots of google images searches for F700, F800, schoolbus etc Cummins to see what they look like but haven't come up with anything yet.

    which would you rather have?.......

That front axle reminds me of the one in my Dad's old 66 Jeep J3000, hiding on the edge of this photo.

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

So, a couple of questions. Does anyone know what might have originally bolted to the block here? Anybody recognize this lower water neck? It appears to be an integral part of the alternator mount, but wouldn’t cooperate very well with the factory AC compressor. If anyone...

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

I decided to pull the alternator since there was a hole in the housing and it looked like there was some JB weld on it. After removing the first bolt, it fell off before I got a chance to loosen the other one (there was only one other one, because, as with everything else, the PO only used 2...

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

So upon finding that, I decided I’d pull the core support since he had hacked it pretty good. Almost cut through in some of the most crucial spots, why is beyond me. Its not like the radiator had enough clearance anyway. I pulled a good rust free core support at the parts yard...

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

So the first thing I wanted to do after getting it home was fix the no start condition that happened literally in his driveway the as soon as the cash and title were transferred. He was sure it was a wire on his POS pushbutton starter switch that he had installed, which seemed plausible...

How not to do an engine swap (my 12 valve Cummins into 97 F-350 thread)

How not to do an engine swap I bought a 1997 F-350 a few weeks ago because I got a good deal on it. I’ve been looking into doing an inline six diesel swap into a Ford for a while now, and after budgeting I found several already swapped trucks for less than my entire swap cost, without...

What to ask for these wheels and tires?

Well I'm hoping they're worth more than $350 or $400. I guess I'll just have to see. They are 1/2" offset toward the outside. Any idea what factory is? They're 9" wide rims. I don't have any good pictures showing how the look. I don't recall them looking significantly different than the...

92-97 ford diesl core support with a/c

Good grief. I can't believe they go for that much. Might have to start pulling some good rust free ones in AZ and throw them on eBay.

    KDP Fell Out

Affirmative on that. Once I scraped my way through all the dirt and oil I saw the sweet JB weld job the PO did.

Remove core support without opening AC system?

Is this possible? Or would it be far simpler to just have the refrigerant recovered? Problem is, the truck is non operational so professional recovery is difficult.

    KDP Fell Out

Figured that would get some attention. When I opened up the 97 Cummins on my 97 truck to do the KDP, I found it missing (engine runs great). The front cover is not cracked. However, this engine leaks oil like crazy and I can't really tell where from, but it doesn't appear to be around the...

What to ask for these wheels and tires?

I've got a very nice set of wheels and tires. Since these won't work on my new dually, I'm planning on selling these locally, I'll offer them on here as well. What to ask? Wheels are in great shape, I could polish them to a nice shine without much effort - there's no pitting, scratches etc...

    Would you rebuild this starter?

So this starter is for another brand of vehicle, but its very similar to an IDI. It is shot, so shot in fact that when the guy at the auto parts store hooked it up, it blew a breaker and the radio in the store went off. I opened it up and it looks rough to me. Is it worth trying to rebuild...

    Greetings from Australia

Very interesting. While in college I worked at a car wash for minimum wage with a bunch of guys who where, how to say this, a few short of a full deck. It was pretty funny the few times that we had RHD vehicles in, postal vehicles mostly and a few euro cars (including a Jeep Cherokee)...

Nice truck. I am a fan especially of the bumper and bed. And I tok would like to see inside and under the hood.

    Looking for some dually wheels

I think its hit or miss. I've seen Dodge clear, and not, and most that won't clear the rear will still clear the front. Been there done that with a flat on the side of the PA Turnpike.

19.5 tires probably will. They go up to load range g I think.

    Radiator help

I think you could make the Powerstroke radiator work, just with custom hoses, and maybe work on how it mounts. Probably more trouble than its worth. If you get a Champion, make sure you get a 3 core and not a 2 core unless you never tow. I'd still get the 3 core anyway.

    Looking for some dually wheels

I'm hoping to pick up a 1997 cab & chassis dually in the next few days. The thing has hideous aftermarket wheels on it. I would like to replace them ASAP. So I'm needing a bit of information as to what to look for. Is the bolt pattern for these trucks 8 x 6.75? As far as I know 6 inch...

fuel cut off for engine braking

As long as the engine is rotating at a reasonable speed you'll still have power brakes and steering. Heck you could still have AC. That said, cutting fuel to the IP wouldn't do anything more to slow you down than just downshifting, and downshifting would be a whole lot safer.

    I need gears asap...

A square fill plug doesnt mean you have a dana axle. If its on the diff cover itself, though, that indicates Dana, unless someone did a mod. My 85 came with a 10.25. Best way to find out your gears is jack up one wheel, mark tire and driveshaft with chalk, rotate and count. You never know...
