Fuel gauge slosh module has any one change one of these in a super duty
...if you do the hutch mod, aren't you ELIMINATING the in-tank filter screens?.....so why would you clean them?- Diesel D

New to the forum and need a fuel filter change
....the algae actually grows in the moisture or water in the fuel, not the fuel itself....so if there's algae, that's an indication that you've got water in your fuel....- Diesel D

Check Engine Light
...I would recommend Zibbix sensors....USA made and according to their website, better than OEM.....around $70 for an ICP sensor...not the cheapest, but better than $200....research them....I think you'll be impressed....so far, so good on mine.....- Diesel D

thanks jasper...I know, it seems like a dumb question, but I've seen many videos where to clear the CEL you have to delete it with a code reader. or remove the battery cables....thanks for your response....- Diesel D

ICP sensor changeout......
I changed out my ICP sensor ('02 F-350 7.3L), started 'er up....and the CEL (check engine light) turned off without me doing anything.....no deleting it with any code reading device, or removing the battery cables or anything.....is this normal?...btw....truck's runnin' good so far.....- Diesel D

ok....would you know how to test the plug itself for proper voltage and so forth, because I have a hunch it's the wires, and not the sensor. (would rather not spend $150.00 on replacing a sensor that may not be bad).- Diesel D

.....yes...I agree.....but the sensor on my truck is the original. I haven't replaced it yet. I just don't want to start throwing good money at bad. Can a sensor go bad just by the passage of time?- Diesel D

thanks for the replies....would a sensor go bad with those few miles? most guys that are replacing ICP sensors, the trucks have in excess of 200,000 miles or so, and almost always are leaking oil....mine looks like new yet.....my '02 only has 12,000 miles....that's not a misprint....this truck's...- Diesel D

'02 F-350 7.3 diesel....starts ok, then sputters, lopes, surges and shuts off abruptly....Forscan Code P1280......looked up the number......it says ICP sensor out of range....visually checked sensor...no oil or corrosion....as far as I could see, wires look good.....Question....would an ICP...- Diesel D

it's a fuel tank modification in which you go inside the tank and cut a portion of the filler and air tube off with a PVC cutter, resulting in larger fuel tank capacity. There are many YouTube videos regarding this procedure. Why they call it "harpooning" the tank is beyond me. The hutch mod...- Diesel D

we well....I'm running a large Western V-plow, heater fan, and several external lights.....so that may qualify....btw....it's factory, I didn't order it that way....- Diesel D

My Dual alternator setup is factory....lots of amperage output, but a pain to get at the CPS (Cam Positioning Sensor)....however, I did manage to get the CPS replaced.....- Diesel D
