    I’m pretty sure any Ford dealership parts department should be able to look that up for you. Have you tried that? I wouldn’t get my hopes too high if I were you though. That’s a pretty odd duck you’re searching for.

    You can probably leave the tie rod attched to the pitman arm. Get the steering shaft and hoses unhooked. Then remove all but one bolt from the box , loosen the last one and let the box rotate down. Then you can pull the pitman arm with the tie rod still attached.

    I did this It was an $8 project box off of Amazon. I like it down low, because it’s out of my field of vision at night, but in the bright sun they can sometimes get obscured by glare. I’m pretty sure that will get fixed when I get around to tinting the windows.

    I stand corrected. I googled it, you’re definitely right. I was told that by someone years ago, and it’s always worked out that way for everything I’ve worked on. But, I’ve never really spent any time with Ford gas engines. Apparently they were just being different.

    The obs cabs have a block off plate for the clutch if it’s an auto, and the same for the transfer case lever. Hopefully the brick nose are the same.

    Have you checked the glow plugs for continuity recently? Let’s try checking from the terminal on each glow plug to the intake, as well as from each glow plug terminal to the negative post on the battery.

    It’s like one of those universal truths. Anyone who’s ever done an inverted flare has done it without the nut on there first. These are usually you best flares as well. You look at it admiring how perfect it came out, and one second later you realize there’s no nut there.

    FWIW, the line that is cast into the housing is supposed to line up with the slot in the actuator with the key in the run position. Just maybe a bit of useful info if you want to cross check yourself along the way.

    Take a good look at the ring gear on the flex plate or flywheel when you have the starter out. I’m thinking it’s probably okay, but definitely one of those things that’s worth a closer look.

    Some brake cleaner has acetone in it, but there are tons of different formulations of brake cleaner. Some brands have 4 or 5 different formulations under one brand.
