    Transmission dipstick on turbo swap

I also considered buying an off-the-shelf flexible tube and stick. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/52262/10002/-1 In hindsight that would probably have been a lot less work than making one... only catch is you need to find a method of securing the flexible one at the transmission end.

    Baby on the way...

Update! Put it in last weekend. Only problem I have is the Moose feed line did not come with an adapter to the filter head. I currently have some plastic adapter to make it work... I like it. Hot start problem is gone, seems to have more power. I think the Baby was the right choice, It...

Ferret timing meter or comparable timing apparatus

I printed mine... about 1/16 = 1 degree if memory serves. I think the damper diameter is 7.25" Here: https://www.oilburners.net/threads/timing-tape-and-timing-our-engines.64095/ and https://www.oilburners.net/threads/tech-101-timing-tape-and-timing.64122/ Post #8 shows the one I printed.

Ferret timing meter or comparable timing apparatus

why not just get a timing tape instead? I put one on my truck years ago and it still works perfect. That way you can use any timing light.

    Baby on the way...

I am still awaiting my baby. Taking so long I expect twins ;). Shipped Friday so should be here soon. I considered going for a higher CC but the recommendation was to go with a stock calibration. Will see what it can do!

I am not at the Rally and I am regretting it.:( I have a small problem that all you slackers might be able to help with though... 4WD on Dry Pavement

I think your description is a little unclear. Previous responses suggest your hubs are locked... I think you want to leave the with the hubs unlocked, and use the gearing of 4 low to pull the boat out. If this is the case then tire size or pressure don't matter, only that you are driving the...

adding 94 turbo to my truck

I recently put a turbo on my NA and the fitting (pictured above) fit fine. Stole it from a turbo block and put directly on the NA. Maybe double check if there is a bushing reducer in the NA block... My memory is good but short! I definitely did not drill and tap though.

    AC Help

I just fixed a similar problem with mine... A/C clutch would not engage and I measured 12V at the plug. Coil ohmed out good so I bumped the clutch using a jumper from the battery; it worked perfect. Traced the problem to a crappy connection at the low pressure switch. 10 minutes and $0 and it...

    Ugh! Big problem?

I would think it is ball joints... moves freely when on a lift but binding when under load. Not knocking the steering column advice (you say you have grinding) but I don't see how the column could bind if unless your tilt is excessive or you are hanging off the wheel.

94' IDIT...... Recommended turbo upgrade? Banks? R&D? etc?

Sorry for borrowing your post but on the topic of R&D, I sent him an email yesterday to ask about an IP for my truck. I doubt I will hear back and I don't do Fakebook so I thought I would ask here: how backed up is he on pumps? What pump should I order for my truck? (Signature for details)...

What's the trick for removing/installing the serpentine belt?

I was a joke. You should have a sticker at the front of your engine bay that shows you routing. It is a PITA to do alone - especially with a new kinky belt - but that builds character.
