    Radiator support for diesel

New radiator support from LMC. Part of a large order that was damaged. They replaced the whole order, now I have an extra. Was a little dinged on one corner, but I straightened it out. Fits 87 to 91 F250 diesel w/ no air. I don't know if it would work on anything else. I'm in Jersey, so if...

If it's starting as soon as you touch the cables, it could be your ignition switch on the column. Remove the fuse panel cover, and put your hand up on top of the column and turn the key. The actuator rod should go towards the firewall when you turn the key to start. If it's not moving at all...

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

You can re use them if they are still somewhat soft. They are usually rubber. . You can run it with the covers off if need be. Doesn't get too messy. Oil will build up at the drain hole though.

    Injection Pump Lock?

And when I say the fss, i mean the switch on the frame rail below the driver seat. The other to check, the one Fire is saying I think is the shutoff on the top of the pump.

    Injection Pump Lock?

Did you mess with any internals while the top was open? And when you put the top back on did you hold it forward , then slide it back in place? If you have fuel in the top of the pump ,but nothing to the injectors it sounds like the problem is right there.

I've gotten the high sodium level reading too. Try a different oil. I used Blackstone labs for years, but not yet on the 87. Blackstone gives a good detailed report.

    6.9 head studs?

Definitely have to pull the heads for the bolts. Just did mine 2 months ago. I don't plan on doing a turbo on my truck, it's an XL. I don't pull stuff often. So after I had the heads done I found new bolts at headbolts dot com. Just over a hundred bucks with free shipping. Now if it was a nicer...

    Looking at 94 idit 4x4

I wouldn't pay that much for it. In the one pic you can see a brake controller mounted. It has 211k on the E40d. Definitely was pulling some weight at one time. Maybe every day? who knows. Might be a problem not too far down the road.

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

Take it up a steep hill and see how it goes. If it's a haze, you're ok. If you're cropdusting, it's more than timing. Do the compression and leak down test.

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

That because your hard line are holding it over. Might have to loosen some of them up on the pump. loosen just enough to get some movement. If you open it up a bunch, you'll need to crack some injectors to bleed air before starting.

You're going to have to replace the brass fitting in the back. 3 way instead of 4 . IIRC.

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

You're gonna have a hard time with the return line there. Get a stubby 9/16, and see if you need to grind it thin to fit. You're going to have fun with that. I replaced the hard return line when I did the o rings and caps. Went with the 7.3 style, and ran the return to the #2 injector...

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

On the top of the pump is a square nub protruding. Put a 3/4 inch wrench on it if you want to control it better. That's what it's there for.

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

That is for turning the fuel up. You don't want that now. You want to advance the timing. The pump is held tight with 3 nuts. Right behind the timing gear housing you'll look down and see the mounting flange on the back of the pump. There should be static timing marks chiseled in. Maybe, maybe...

    Blueish white smoke when accelerating

With the HF compression tester you have to cut the adapter that fits to length. No big deal. The 14 pc is the one I think. Try what Bronco is saying too. All that costs is time.
