    Question installing Powermaster 9050

    I just did mine recently, for top bolt I used my Harbor Frieght long extension, deep socket, and the woble joint that came with it. Start the top bolt with your fingers, tighten top bolt first, then tighten bottom bolts.

    My problem is going into to fault mode OD light flashing and hard shifts, it seems to only do this by letting o. And off the throttle while driving . If going down the road and I let off the throttle and back on a few times it goes into fault mode

    You are both correct, I was jumping across both large terminals. Seemmmms like when I over heated my starter it also burnt the signal wire. Thank you for your help.

    Both new starters look identical to the one I removed. but after hooking up wires and tuoching screwdriver across both posts, neither will kick out bendics , they only spin. this is without mounting to engine, to check function before installing

    I'll crawl under it again this evening and make sure it is fully seated, yes, all three bolts are in and tight.

    Installed new starter Saturday , got everything hooked back up and it just spins, wont engage the flywheel. So now will have to remove and try another new one:mad:
