is there any way to tell if the torque converter is bad, or not locking up?

My problem is going into to fault mode OD light flashing and hard shifts, it seems to only do this by letting o. And off the throttle while driving . If going down the road and I let off the throttle and back on a few times it goes into fault mode

That is typically the problem in my experience with the E4Od, gotta scan the code as it is occurring or it clears itself.

Knock on wood I haven't had the flashing OD yet but what exactly do you mean by scanning the code as it is occurring? Run the scanner before shutting off the engine? Or?
