New pics, swapped the bed. If you recall from page 1 we had a tire blow out before a Moab trip and it gutted the forward and aft fuel tank fillers, ripped out the wheel well liners and removed the support rods for the bedside body panels and cratered the driver side wheel well. It even tore up...

    Interesting Timing info

Exactly what I was looking for...should have just asked that!;Sweet FYI the Cetane rating for Kerosine is indeed lower than ULSD.

    Interesting Timing info

I guess what I'm getting at is that a fuel with a lower cetane rating requires advancing the IP to get drivability performance similar to a fuel with a higher cetane rating. I brought up the lower BTU rating of Kerosine because I understand mileage and power will both suffer compared to ULSD...

    Interesting Timing info

I have a question regarding different fuels and timing...here is what I'm thinking: PLEASE correct me... Fuel with a lower energy content, kerosine for example would require advancing the timing to aid starting, regain some power and reduce gray chugging smoke at idle. -And- Fuel...

    removing tint

Alcohol, MEK or Acetone and a white Scotchbrite pad will take the glue right off. As for the actual film you have to rip it off or keep at it with the razor blade.

Truck wont start: how to bleed fuel?

Remove the fuel filter and fill with ATF or Diesel. I find ATF easier to deal with as it's thicker and doesn't slosh around. Hook up a battery charger to your batteries and get them topped off, you really need to spin the starter to get this engine to light off. Crack a few of the injector...

whats the best oil to run in my 1988 7.3

I'm running DELO 400 LE 15w-40 It's the far less desirable Low Emission formula and I can't find any of the CI rated oils on the shelf here. I haven't had any problems with it and I don't expect to, I just wish I could find the older additive package.

Honestly...no idea. The Truck has been setup like this for years and has never had a problem, sure hope it stays that way. ;Sweet I will be adjusting the wastegate to dump boost a little quicker, somewhere around 12-13psi.

Before you do anything, begin spraying them down with LPS 2, WD-40, PB Blaster, Kroil, Mouse Milk, Tabasco, 3in1...anything. I have successfully removed 25+ year old brake components after soaking them for a few days, and yes the Tabasco really does work.

    Accessories-floor mats, bed caps...

Where do you guys find your accessories? I'm looking for floormats, bug shield, bed caps, side mirrors, steering wheel cover, bumpers and other interior/exterior dress up items. I have found generic websites but I'm curious if there is a "Performance Products" type site for our Trucks. Thanks!
