7.3 idi injectors cap is leaking

Return lines are a PITA. Don't do it more than once. Get the good stuff the first time.

    2015 IDI weekend

Each year, the next years rally is picked from those in attendance who would like to host. You have to attend 2 annual IDI Weekend rallies to be eligible to bid. The only way it is going to go south, is if people from the south attend. Time to get cracking if your going to go!

WMO what to do with it?

I'm in the same boat. I have a 250 gal tank full of WMO, but I will probably have to pay a recycler to take it away. If you want to run funny fuel, go Biodiesel. Just as cheap with only a little more labor, and yes this is a plug. LOL...

Weird issue with timing my bull moose

We had a guy show up at a timing clinic once. He was way off, and we were surprised it ran. He popped the gear housing off, and moved the gear back and forth, with me checking the timing, to see if he got it close. It took like forever, but we did eventually get to the point where we felt we...

Quick poll: do biz with Mylex? y/n?

I know the owner of Mylex. We have had some good times together at the ADS meetings. He is a stand up guy.

    BB injector status/availability

By and large, the nozzles on BB injectors are pretty shot by the time they need to be rebuilt. There are nozzle seat grinder tools out there that would allow us to re-work old nozzles, but the down side is you can never get the same spray performance as you can with new tips. So our...

    BB injector status/availability

As you all should know by now, I announced last fall that we had bought the remaining inventory of new Delphi BB injectors, since Delphi had announced that they were no longer manufacturing them. We had a LOT of them. Not surprisingly, they have been flying off the shelves, and in the last 6...

    Fuel Line Upgrade Thoughts?

I can sell you remans. I don't make them in-house, as it's just more cost effective for me to buy them from someone who makes a ton of them. I also try NOT to sell them, because I honestly believe they are not a good value. Figure it this way... you buy a set of reman's. Let's say they are...

    What axle ratio? Poll.

Not true. I pull my 4000lb boat with 3.08's in the Moosestang, and it's no big deal. Of course the Bronco is a little lighter than a full size pickup, but you can't beat the 24MPG. The Dana 61 is not any "lighter duty" than a Dana 70 full floater near as I can tell. In fact all the brake and...

    Heads directional?

Just a nit, but if your doing something like changing head gaskets, I would definitely keep them on the same sides they came off of. If you've had them machined, and got new parts in them, and no accessories bolted on, then no, it wouldn't matter.

Homemade Pyrometer / WVO Controller System

I would have loved if this technology was available when I was 20! I would have eaten that stuff up. As it was, I built a digital tach interface and throttleometer and digital volt meter with discrete semiconductors back when through hole technology was all we had. I bread-boarded a lot of...

    Dash Lights Flickering

Those are harder to troubleshoot because you don't have access to the field coil directly. Replacing the alternator is the only real troubleshooting step to start with, aside from the normal checking of the wiring. I'd plug an analog voltmeter into your 12V accessory jack and watch it and see...

    Glow Plug Eater

Swelled tips is usually not advanced timing. Advanced timing tends to erode the tips away. They just get shorter and shorter. Swelled tips is usually junk glow plugs.

    drain or alternator

If the alternator is draining the batteries, it will be warm to hot when the rest of the engine is cool. My bet is it isn't making any juice though.

    NOT FOR DEISELS???

You can usually get away with a 2" lift. You may experience some cab/head rubbing in reverse however. As for the snowplow, they probably figure the front springs are already loaded pretty good. Dunno.

    Fuel Line Upgrade Thoughts?

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing your install. I know a lot of people probably think that line costs too much, including me. BUT... that hose is special stuff and very expensive. Most companies that sell fuel line will tell you it should be replaced every year, but that stuff will last 10 times...

    Fuel Line Upgrade Thoughts?

We sell a feed line kit. It's salty, but very well made with extremely high quality fuel line. It has the AN fittings and everything in it ready to go. We call it our Moose Feed line, and we now offer one to replace the factory turbo oil feed line as well.

Weird issue with timing my bull moose

In all honestly, Joel said to me the last time I spoke with the OP, "you don't think he's got it ATDC do you?" I said "nah... can't be. He had a friend doing it with him, and they even used the same timing equipment to time another truck for comparison. Although that would make sense. I hate...

    Injection pump timing issue

I don't know if this is your problem or not, but I have seen where people have mounted up pumps without using the heavy flat washers that the pump was originally mounted with. The nuts can dig in pretty good and that makes it a devil of a time getting the pump to turn without excessively...
