Moving factory fuel filter head on 7.3 IDI

Thanks you guys! as always great ideas. I'm just trying to figure out the best set up since I will have to relocate the factory filter head anyway for the IC piping. Sounds like I could delete it all together with aftermarket duel filter set up. Less issues with possible air intrusion. The set...

Moving factory fuel filter head on 7.3 IDI

would you or could you still run the factory fuel filter head and filter if you if you were to use that duel fuel filter head. Also, if you ditched the the factory filter head how do you bleed off air in the lines without the schrader valve there. Sorry to hijack the thread

Moving factory fuel filter head on 7.3 IDI

Thanks for the link fsmyth. I was planning on doing something like this on my build with the Carrier e-pump. Am I correct in assuming you would have the pump after the filters? I'm glad this thread was brought up by the OP as I am a little confused with what is the best or right configuration. I...

Safe travels, I know you will keep us all posted. I can wait three weeks if it means being happy with the new set-up in the long run. Sounds like it will be good comparison for e-fans vs. the mechanical fan set up . Im not worried about horsepower loss, I just want whats going to keep the thing...

    ATS snail seals....and intercooler pics!

Good info,as usual. Are you running the 3 or 4 row Champion . Also, are the E-fans the ones Champion offers now with the radiators the ones you are using. They are dual 16'' fans. I'm in the market for a new radiator and wondering if the E-fans from Champion can do the job for situations like...

    Champion radiator

Yes,please keep us updated . I have been on the fence of the 3 row or 4 row. Are you running an IC on your set up? My plan was to run either the 3 or 4 row with the two E-fans they sell w/ an IC. Thanks

Hey Waystro, I just ordered a triple gauge kit from Glowshift. I read alot of info and they are a little hit and miss. need help finding 7.3 heads

I was able to measure the cylinder head protrusion and they all measure .025 to .027 so I'm just under. Is it ok to reuse a new head gasket if I had to pull the head after torquing it down? Thanks1

    need help finding 7.3 heads

Thanks for the great info! My heads are within those specs so they should be fine. Im going to measure the piston protrusion tomorrow. Doing a rebuild on a 92 7.3 idi. Read some other posts about clearances when reconditioning a head, specifically when it needs surfacing. How concerned are you about the clearances?
