    Dreaded tire sizes

Thank you, that is perfect. I notice you have the bulging rubber sway bar isolaters. I would highly recommend the Energy Suspension poly bushings for sway bar and springs. It made a significant difference in how the vehicle handled. Totally worth the money in my opinion.

    Dreaded tire sizes

Here is hoping they are everything you want them to be. It's silly, but I too agonize over tire purchases looking through size and tread combinations until I think I've found the perfect set, and then second guess that decision. Pickup looks very nice, has a great stance. Unrelated but would...

    Dreaded tire sizes

I have 285/75 Toyo's and like them. They did rub when I turned and the suspension compressed (coming out of a parking lot) but after doing a RSK the rub eliminated completely. Another friend has run Cooper S/T 255/85r16's and loves them. Gets typically ~40k and he is not a rotate fiend. Toyo...

    Project Big Red

I am in awe. Very good work sir. I rummaged through this thread with a low hanging jaw through most of the work as it was truly inspiring and astounding the depth and completeness you have put into it. I will be eagerly awaiting the final product, and I do hope it brings you years of service...

    Transmission question

While I am no expert in this field, I have to play devil's advocate. There is a least one working example of a ZF6 placed behind an IDI by "Jaybee". It has inspired me to eventually ditch my E4OD for the 6 speed, as I would prefer a manual and I like the 6's ratios. The caveat being if you...

For the members who have done the headlight relay modifications???

Not to resurrect an old thread, but I have been going through lots of the headlight relay discussions looking for a specific answer. Riotwarrior mentioned earlier in this thread to get the factory plugs and build a harness but I am unsure of what factory plugs to buy and where. I have a '94...

    Let's talk Overdrives vs Gears

I am in a similar boat and for what it's worth I settled on doing a 3.73 ratio front and rear, as I won't have to change the carrier in either diff and my overall RPM's drop to 91% of where I am at with 4.10's. I am running an E4OD so my OD ratio is slightly better than a ZF-5, but again after...

    Introducing MOOSE BOOST!

Has there been any further development on a ATS/Factory upgrade setup? And while it's been said before there is no such thing as too much thanks. So primarily to Mr. Sutton and Mr. Agne thanks for developing, installing, and documenting m sincere thank you. I am currently a dreamer putting...

Hello from the So. Willamette Valley

Oregon Fuel Injection is a fantastic shop for timing. We have used them for diesel engine parts and services. I can't say what the cost of getting it timed would be, but I can say their shop is very professional. I hope that helps.

Hello from the So. Willamette Valley

Our farm at one one time was very Blue Oval heavy, and we still have a healthy mix though some have been replaced or upgraded. My IDI was actually bought new by my dad, and when he bought a 2006 Mega Cab new I bought his IDI. I do have a preference for Ford, but I don't try to tell anyone...

ATS Intercooler for sale fits 88-93 7.3 IDI

You are right, and I should have said I have access to facilities that I can work on my vehicle. There are many great projects that come from all over the place, and talent comes from a variety of backgrounds. While I do not own a mandrel bender, I have access to one that I planned to use.

ATS Intercooler for sale fits 88-93 7.3 IDI

Towcat makes many valid points that I won't argue. The reason I want this kit is the same as yours, I don't want to cut into the radiator support. As for reverse engineering, again you're right. It isn't cheap. But I am fortunate enough to live on a farm where exists the tools to allow me to...

Hello from the So. Willamette Valley

It's possible that the seed came from our place, but there are thousands of acres producing grass around here. The only way to know for certain where it came from is the analysis label on the box or bag you purchased and with the lot #'s I could figure out which farm, or at least the county...

ATS Intercooler for sale fits 88-93 7.3 IDI

towcat I also saw the casting post and while I'm a little late to the game I would throw a little money at refabbing the ATS IC. This is exactly the reason I asked if it was still available hoping that it would get information or lead to another kit if possible. I saw the ebay post and I don't...

Hello from the So. Willamette Valley

I live down at exit 216 on I5, just north of Eugene. Unfortunately no I won't be at the diesel drags as we are in the midst of harvest so I won't be leaving the farm for the next 14 weeks.

I saw the posting date, but thought if I ask and another is available through another seller then it might help me track down what I want. Long shot, yet worth the try.

Hello from the So. Willamette Valley

I have a love and fascination with horsepower and old vehicles. And horsepower in any form, be it a hit and miss engine running an ice cream crank or three jet turbines hooked to a pulling sled and anything in between. I'm a grass seed farmer with my family, along with raising and shearing...
