well as if the Anti-Christ aka my pickup can't give me anymore issues today she gave me a new one. While driving to work in the morning im on the highway and get up to about 65mph the converter locks and then a few seconds later it unlocks, then a few seconds later it lock, this went on the...
yes brian steered me in the right direction the ford and local parts dealer was looking under the wrong part number. the plate that was in my truck cracked completly around the bolts that go into the crank it was just being held together by the crank adapter and the big washer
well the tensioner on my truck broke so repaced that and put a new belt on but the diagram under the hood of my 94 is that of one for a powerstroke. I think I have the belt run the right way but just want to make sure. does anyone have a picture of the correct belt routing for me?
ok well the flexplate in my truck cracked and it seems its been discontinued and I can't find it anywhere. the part number is FBTZ6375A. so my question is there anyone out there who has this anywhere? an aftermarket company or anything?
it was crazy today with it. I took it to my friends shop we messed around with it. new fuel filter and the belt tensioner broke in half on the ride there so we replaced that also but on the ride there the noise would start comming and going. Im a diesel rookie when it comes to working on them...
well after a hour of me cooling off I went back out to the truck to give it a better diagnosis. the truck makes a hell of a racket at idle and I bring the RPMS up to 1500 and it smooths out and quiets down to how it normally sounds. took it for a test ride around town and it bucks bad when i hit...
I was thinking that, i was also thinking maybe the injector pump is crapping out but I don't get why the engine viabrates mid range but then smooths out in the upper rpms:dunno
when i started the truck to come home from work tonight it seems like the motor got louder almost like something was not getting enough oil. I check my aftermarket oil gauge and it had almost 50psi showing on it. so I let the truck idle for a few minutes and then start driving it. It seems that...
alright its once again time to look for the 8 hole alcoa rims for my 94. anyone have any for sale?:dunno I need tires soon and dont wanna put new rubber on my steel wheels
it is possible you have to heat the cast piece to aroud 400 degrees. you can also do this to make repairs to cast heads. the manifolds are no where near the thickness and metal density of cast heads or a cast block. plus the best way to weld cast is to tig weld it to control the heat better. but...
cast iron fatigues from all the heating and cooling it does the manifolds paint only lasts a year before its flaked off and manifold starts rusting so its a few things that cause it. also welding cast iron dosent work. as the weld beings to cool it contracts and will cause cracking in another area.
I just went threw this a month ago. crack was so big in the manifold that i could stick my finger in it. most of the bolts heads broke off and I had to drill out the bolts. keep soaking the bolts with a penitrating oil.
yea that truck looks just like the parts truck i picked up today. so they guy was right when saying it had a newer bed on it. thanks guys and in a few weeks ill be posting some parts for sale ;Sweet
The truck was a half done resto project. It has a lot of good parts on it. It has a gas motor in it with a 4speed. It runs kinda but has no brakes but its 4x4
