Yes.. You can go both ways with the heavy or thin plates flywheels but... You need differant parts when you change... If you change from the heavy cast iron to the stamped flexplate you will need the crank spacer thats no longer made. BTS has these spacers.. They make them... If you are changing from the thin stamped wheel with the gear on it to the heavy cast iron wheel you only need the threes pieces. Thats the heavy wheel, the thin stamped wheel without the gear and the thin flex washer that all the bolts fit thru to spread out the clamping force... I have a spare heavy castiron wheel. The last ones Ford had cost around $480.00 and that was around 8 years ago... They have been out of production for a long time. PM me if you want to make a deal on what I have...
