    Passenger side coolant leak

If it’s heater core you may also want to take a look at the carpet underneath the glove box. May have gotten some in there too. I imagine a good carpet cleaning would get it up. I had mine leaking in there and after I fixed the core I never cleaned the carpet though, little dark spots in it still :/

What did I do to my Dad’s rig?

Hijack away! Gives me some good reading material haha I got the truck in the shop after work. Stupid me was trying to jump the wrong relay posts. I probably fried some fuses along the way :shoot: I went ahead and put two new batteries in the truck and a new terminal connector. Truck fired up...

What did I do to my Dad’s rig?

So my favorite quotes from the last replies. “Send it” and “you probably checked that first” haha I did pull a couple fuses and looked but not all of them, it got dark and started to freeze out there. Once it’s in the shop I got a heater! I didn’t check any of the fuseable links though… And oh...

What did I do to my Dad’s rig?

I’m going to have to give it a couple whacks tomorrow after work and see if that won’t wake it up. The thing is it was cranking when i mashed the switch forward but then I put a screwdriver across those two terminals on the lower relay and it wouldn’t crank anymore after that… I was thinking...

What did I do to my Dad’s rig?

So my dad finally shipped his 61 Falcon and 85 F250 (I convinced him to buy). The truck has the 6.9 in it and an automatic tranny. It needs a lot of cosmetic work and a decent amount of mechanical work but overall he got it for a good price and it’s 4x4 with only 85k miles on the engine. Was an...

    Water pump going bad?

I did my water pump about a year ago or so and went with the flowkooler. I love it. You can see the quality right out the box. In December I drive cross country with my 86 250 with a 6.9 and came across the scales at 11,700lbs. Truck never over heated across the mountains or continental divide

    New here- W110 buy

Thanks for the input guys. It sounds like it would be a cool fun car but yup, been reading a lot how SLOW they are. That’s kind of turning me off to it now. I’m thinking maybe just holding out the cash and putting it back into the IDI :Thumbs Up

    New here- W110 buy

Hey y’all, so I’m usually on the 6.9 and 7.3 IH page but I just looked at an older Mercedes and I’m tempted. Figured I’d hop on here and ask for your opinions. Here is the link to the posting for the vehicle: https://lewiston.craigslist.org/pts/d/lewiston-dads-mercedes-diesel/7445241911.html An...

    Road Trip

That sounds sick!! I ended up meeting a lot of guys who were in the coast guard and got stationed in Maine and absolutely loved it. They were hunters or anglers and they just couldn’t get enough of the outdoor life. Said the people were great too. I’m not a big fan of the north east but I would...

    Road Trip

Hell yeah brother! Truck and camper look good, and I bet that trip was a beaut! You normally do your hunts in Maine? Do you have residency up there?

NJ to ID - Road trip time!

@IDIBRONCO So I stayed outside Badlands National Park in SD on Sunday night. Little town called Wasta. It was awesome, I think there was 70 people in the town and the room I had was two small town blocks from a bar and grill in town and I went there and had some venison stew and a couple beers...

NJ to ID - Road trip time!

@Big Bart it sure doesn’t do any good if it doesn’t reach! And the thing about over thinking it is that it covers your *** for those just in case moments. And I’d rather have that stuff and not need it than need it and not have it. Kind of like a gun… I wish I could have gotten off the...

NJ to ID - Road trip time!

@Big Bart @quickster all good stuff gents! At first glance I was thinking Bart the list was a bit exhaustive but then I realized I actually had most of the stuff lol 100% though I will be getting a couple blocks of 2x4 and an air compressor. Probably going to have to buy a cheap one off Amazon...

NJ to ID - Road trip time!

Cubey, my snack game is on point for this trip. Unfortunately I won't have my wife riding shotgun to hand me my requests but heck, I got along fine without her years ago! I do have 12 gallons of water on board too. Extra weight that the Coast Guard will pay me for plus it's just a good idea to...

NJ to ID - Road trip time!

Alright folks, the day is finally here to leave the armpit of America (NJ) and get back to Idaho! I’ll be heading out Thursday morning with my first stop outside of Toledo, OH. I’ll have to hit hotels or rooms until I get to that Wyoming wrenchhead @firehonomichl then I’ll drink all his beer...

    38 gallon rear Fuel tank

So I wanted to put in the big tank too, but ran into this tow frame thing. This stock? You guys have it too? My Dad just bought an 85 6.9 and it had it too.
  19. Stu Bailey

So what did you do with your truck today?

Not so much my truck but what I did was convince my dad to buy this 85 6.9! It was an old date farm truck down in So Cal outside of Palm Springs. He was able to pick it up for 3K and the guy delivered it to his house about 90 minutes away. it needs some cosmetic work for sure but it is a 4x4...

How much is my 94 f-350 drw 7.3 idi turbo worth?

Yeah that’s a good looking truck for sure, and way to go on bringing the price down. I’d say you brought it down to a very reasonable and realistic price. Well done Sir!

    Diesel Fuel Additives

I’ve heard good things about the Stanadyne but I’ve never used it personally. There’s a whole slew of stuff we all use so I imagine it will be whatever you can get easily and cheap. For me that’s Renewable Lubricants Soy based diesel fuel conditioner. Currently free LOL

So what did you do with your truck today?

Finally got around to buying the sending unit for the front tank. It’s been inop for almost two years now I would say. I was planning on pumping out as much fuel as I can and then just throwing the new sending unit in and keeping an eye on the FWS. I would change that and the fuel filter after...
