Several weeks ago I removed fuel heater and plugged hole ( thank for the help found here ) now the voltage gauge reads about 14 1/2 while multimeter reads 13.8 on drivers side battery and 13.6 on passenger side battery. Is this because there is no fuel heater drawing current or somthing I should...
I'm going to tap and plug housing as the terminal for the heater is bubbling up through the middle. Question is when I put the plug in the tapped hole do I use Teflon tape or locktite?

Found this forum while searching for some info. Looks like a wealth of information since I have a1989 F-250 with 7.3 idi and a 1997 Ram 2500 with the gen 2 cummins.
