    I posted this on the wrong forum. So here we go again... I'm buying a 94 12V. Its not running and pretty ugly. So where can i stat reading about these engines. I know there isn't a lot too them and i'm used to working on the old Ford 6.9 and 7.3 IDI so i'm thinking it can't be too much different.

    Thats called oil in the coolant. It helps with lubercating the insides of the cooling system. :rolleyes:

    Easyest way to tell is look for plugs that go into the valve cover gasket.

    I have a can of WD-40 to use as starting fluid. Is safe on these engines. If you look on the can of starting fluid it says DO NOT USE IN ENGINES THAT HAVE GLOW PLUGS OR INTAKE HEATERS!!! Tell him to never use any additives in the oil and make sure he uses an oil rated for diesel. Maybe he...

    Injector question

    Also, he has a tach in the truck but its not hooked up (its aftermarket). Where can i wire the tach to? Also i'll put a pyro on the list and mount it in place of the clock in the center console.
