    Im going to wait until i find a set of SD axles with 4.10s and convert the front to coils and possible link the rear. i just saw a good deal and was curious if it would be a good buy.

    thank you guys for all of the responses! it ended up being that new radiator. it was clogged 90% and the coolant was barely flowing through. I should've checked it before i put it in. I pulled it out and slapped in my old one and acid flushed it and its never ran cooler lol.

    Hey guys! I was on craigslist and I found a SD rear axle for $250. Rear disc brakes and an LSD that actually works. I already run 8x170 wheels with adapters, now i could ditch the adapter. I would have to re gear it from 3.7s to 410s. what else would i have to do to get it in? everything else...

    i am not. the radiator and the coolant are brand new. im startring to think the radiator could be clogged? ill try pulling the Tstat and going from there.

    when its running and the cap is off theres not s steady stream of bubbles but every 20 or 30 seconds ill get a big one. it doesnt instantly go to red but it consistantly gets warmer and warmer. i know the stock temp gauge is a joke but the truck used to never go above R or M and now it does.

    the radiator heats up. the Tstat is opening and hot water goes into the rad but for some reason the truck runs incredibly hot. i havent ran it for more than about 15 minutes bc it gets so close to the red.

    yes the radiator pressurizes and so do all the hoses. I'm completely stumped.

    I will give it a shot! Having an air lock is the only reason that i could come up with, the upper rad hose gets hot and pressurized but the truck never gets cool nor will the temp stop increasing. I can only run it for 10 or 15 minutes before it overheats. Any other ideas on why it would do that?

My truck has always ran on the warm side and my radiator was full of gunk so i replaced it with an aluminum spectra radiator and replaced the Tstat with the motorcraft 1049...
