dig thru a scrap yard and will sometimes find things. also if this was a bone stock engine, why is it performing so different then my other 2 diesels? and the hundreds i have worked on over the years. injection pumps, injectors, valves are all the same.
i do know international did use...
theres a mark on the block and mark on vibration dampner. "theres every 1/4 turn of the engine(crank) each next piston will arrive at TDC. So, When the line on the vibration damper is at the 2 oclock position, cylinders 2 and 5 will be at TDC. When the mark is at the 5 oclock position, cylinders...
trying to find a shop that can time this out but i might as well be looking for a neeedle in a haystack as i have aldready called hundreds of shops and 30 injection shops in upper midwest to get asked what is a idi and they dont know how to time it. i know eventually i will find someone.
i...
this is a old thread and some good information. i am at a loss and so far no diesel injection shop in the country i have tried has any idea whats going on.
my injection pump was finished, unbrunt fuel, heating and no power. took 4 low to get the smoker into the shop. my guess is at least 350k...
i have been curious on these fuel return lines and seriously considering it. i have spent $240 in new caps and o rings in the last year. most i have gotten a refund or exchanged on some. i have tried stock and over sized o rings to seal. stock work best but give it 5 to 10k miles and its leaking...
even though this is a old thread will comment. yes theres a big problem with shops and people saying if you not getting fuel its a bad pump. i did a lot of research on mine as it was getting hot to the point couldn't touch the top. removed the wires for fuel shut off switch and no more heat. i...
the engine came out of a truck and put into a 1 ton van. they took the turbo off to make it work. i plan on putting the turbo back on. i plan on reinforcing the front so cutting out the brackets wouldn't be a problem. the engine comes with a good trans. i know it isn't built like the trans i...
i will either re drill or try to find a adapter. i might use the 2 fuel tanks i have and reroute them to the primary diesel tank. so the 2 would dump into the 1. this way i don't have to do anything but put new lines in and a on and off switch. i dont know if the in tanks pumps can hold up with...
it is a 1996 F250 with a 460 and a e40d trans. the trans is solid and overbuilt. i have a 4 core radiator already in the truck and a dual oil filter and a huge oil cooler. i also have a large trans cooler.
i am considering swaping a 460 to a 6.9 diesel. i was getting 15 mpg average with the 460 but the motor is worn down and needs rebuilt. i found a 6.9l and considering putting it in. any information helps, i am not sure what the swap would involve.
