Reservoir tank was drained during a repair, then supposedly filled back up by the garage (it was on my bill). My car is running just a tad hotter, but the gauge isn't even halfway to redline as before, but there is no visible liquid in the reservoir. Should I add more antifreeze to the...
I've had my car for three years and have yet to change the tranny fluid. I check it regularly and it's still a light red color and doesn't smell burnt in the least bit. I'm not planning on setting any speed records on my trip. Didn't plan on going over 60mph on the flats and as for the hills...
I'm heading out on a 10 day vacation down in Dixie and would like to haul my motorcycle with me. (I have a job interview while I'm down there so riding the bike is out of the question) Anyways, I have a 1997 Mercury sable that I wanted to hitch a small, open bed trailer up to and tow my bike...
The lady's new '09 jeep liberty calls for 5w20. I guess thin is in. Since we have a lifetime warranty on the power train, 5w20 is all that it will get... Is there really any difference between running 5w20 in the winter vs. summer? Regardless of the outside air temperature, the engine will...
I was at walmart the other day looking at oil and I saw where Mobil1 came out with a 0w30 synthetic oil. Has anyone used this stuff yet? My thinking is if 5w30 is good enough for my car in the winter, then 0w30 would be even better. My car is past warranty, so I don't have to worry about...
Also, can I get your thoughts on the early initial change. Salesman said we didn't need to do it, but on the other hand he's a salesman, not a mechanic.
The lady bought a bright silver metallic 2009 Jeep Liberty with the sky slider roof and tow package. She wanted a small suv and and loved the look of the liberty and HUGE sunroof.... The salesman told us when using the towing feature on the vehicle (activating the tow button) we should have...
Guess I was a bit vague in my post. I have a 1984 Honda magna 750 liquid cooled that got the 10w30. I also have a 1980 Kawasaki kz1000 air cooled that currently runs 20w50 castrol motorcycle oil, but it's so expensive Im thinking of switching that to 15w40 rotella as well. Neither manual says...
Took my motorcycle into the dealership for an oil change. Manual calls for 10w40 but the dealership put in 10w30. Should I worry about this at all? Also, I plan on a switching to a heavy duty oil on my next change. Since I can't find a 10w40 heavy duty oil, I would going to use Rotella...
Any long term damage with using acetone? I tried it for a few months, got 35mpg highway on a '97 Mercury Sable. I stopped using acetone for a few months then went back to it, no change. No explanation for it.
