Thanks Vegas I thought about that but I was afraid the stud was cast into the gear housing; and didn't want to chance it. I am very glad to know that; I'll probably go back that way. ........Mike........- mikeniowa

Thanks for your help. I was able remove IP. I opened the hard line clamp on the passenger side and removed the lowest line from the IP. That allowed me to raise the pump and lines over manifold on driver side of the intake.- mikeniowa

Trouble removing IP < E350 van>
In process of removing IP as per helpful article by Mel. Encountered many minor problems, < it's a van> . I found I had a major hangup. I cannot raise the pump flange end up because top stud overhangs pump housing and flange..can't raise pump rear end because VAN cowl will not allow...- mikeniowa
