i have a 5/16" head on one that fits in that hole perfectly!
thats why you drill the housing with the pin in its location, that way the taper of the drill bit gives the set screw has a home

if that arm falls into your gears, you can possibly destroy the engine.
i also had the idea of drilling and tapping a small set screw into the side to hold the pin.
this is a big liability concern of mine

i cant help but to worry about how the pin is held in on these.
i think im going to use a shoulder bolt instead of the pin.
