I don’t think the d50 has a removable cover like the 60 does. I remember years ago when I wanted to change the front dif oil in my 96 F250 I bought a plug with a magnet and I drilled and tapped a hole in the bottom of the diff.
Ok, am I correct that the wires hook up to the SD alternator fine, except that the SD lacks a place to plug in the lone small gauge wire?
I think that wire is there to link the regulator to the rectifier. The SD alternator may link the regulator and rectifier internally, and therefore not...
I would be somewhat interested in a hood scoop. I think that to be practical there would need to be some kind of duct to deliver the air to just below the air filter, where the engine would get the benefit of the cooler slightly pressurized outside air, but any water in it would fall harmlessly...
