    H1 Hummer beadlocks

I've ran them in the past with 2" spacers on each corner - that works as well, and it looked pretty decent.

    Finally having some IDI fun!

I'll have to spend some time looking around at the random parts I have around here - I've got a sm465, a 208c, the Jeep's original T10/d20 combo - I would think at some point there was a six hole round passenger case made, but if not hopefully there is a case that I can swap the guts around in...

    Finally having some IDI fun!

4 Speed Ford manual for now - probably go to a zf5 down the road. The motor is a 6.9 - maybe 85, if I remember right. Tcase question would apply better if we knew what transmission was in there I suppose!

    Finally having some IDI fun!

Anyone running a passenger side differential? I need to either swap in a driver side axle or figure out a passenger drop Tcase option.

How long can you run an IDI with no coolant?

The truck burnt - from an interior fire out, I have no reason to believe the engine was overheated - the majority of the damage is firewall back. No gauges left though, so that's a non issue. That's not a bad idea to cap the bottom and fill the engine - I'll at least have a indicator of when...

How long can you run an IDI with no coolant?

I just picked up a 1985 F350 toast edition couple of days ago - thing burnt down pretty good. I redid the fuel return system last night and rigged up enough of it to get it running today - it sounds alright, but its got a pretty good white puff out of one if not two cylinders. Seems this can...

    Keyless entry?

The bulldog one I have on mine has worked good for about 4 years now - it was a cheap ($50-$75) system, and the locks and remote start still work well with no maintenance other than 1 keyfob battery.

    hydroboost pump ???

Same part number - when you purchase the pump new it doesn't come with the pulley anyways, so using the pulley off your non hydro pump may be necessary anyways.

    Rear wheel seal wisdom... Needed

Put the new one in last night - the only thing amiss in the assembly was the ebrake arm had worked its way into traveling too far, so it had worn on the bearing assembly itself and there was a fair amount of tiny metal shavings in there. I think one of those probably got into the seal and...

    Rear wheel seal wisdom... Needed

Sad day... was able to pull the part number through my account at Oreilly and the national 370047a is the one I purchased/installed in March. Guess I'll install it more carefully this time!

    Rear wheel seal wisdom... Needed

Made some phone calls, the only one I've found that I believe is equivalant to the timken is a national brand oil bath seal with the same part number. This was at advance auto parts, the woman claimed to pull it out of the box and claims its a 2-piece style. Should be the one I assume? I'm...

    Rear wheel seal wisdom... Needed

Hey all- Getting ready to hit the road again, I replaced the driver rear wheel seal no more than 5000 miles ago in my buddies garage in south carolina and it sure is leaking again. The axle is a sterling srw out of a 94 F250 IDI. Is there a specific brand of seal that needs to be used for this...

In CO, need an OBS 7.3 Engine

Have a buddy with a 96 in need of an engine - looking for something ready to run for a few miles (preferably an original engine 150-200k), not a builder. I will buy a truck just for the engine if anyone has a wrecked or other substantial project truck. Didn't see anything in the rest of the...

Ever have one of those days?

The best is every time I pull an auto tranny - you end up making a mess at some point, either pulling the pan to drain it or having it tip too far back or forward trying to pull it without draining. And yet no one put a factory drain plug on an automatic tranny until... after 2000? It kills...

    Interesting Tidbit

I'm getting ready for a pretty substantial road trip in the old Ford, been talking to my insurance company about putting it under full coverage so I looked it up in at nadaguides.com to value it - they give the value a 20% decrease for an 86 f250 for having the diesel engine. I thought that was...
