wiring by color and function
i never wire by color. you wouldnt believe the amount of times i found colors doing the wrong function. location, location, location is the most important part.- dopeassjackson

no fuel 24v cummins
so i drained my fuel filter housing and let it sit a few days while i got a filter. installed filter and filled the filter housing now i have no fuel when i crack the lines on the top of the filter housing. i have power and ground to the fuel pump. do these lift pumps go bad over night just...- dopeassjackson

why not run the high pressure pump off a bottle higher than it filled with fuel to make sure?- dopeassjackson

i dont know if you have driven I-81 north of Harrisburg? its got HILLS:eek:. i tow my rockcrawler on a car trailer. i have done the same trip with a 1/2 ton truck.- dopeassjackson

the owner only had the truck for a year so im going to check the trans bolts for socket marks and the such. so in other words they dont know. i have been looking around a bit and might be able to get a motor for less than 2K. a hone and re ring job would be cheaper in my opinion though...- dopeassjackson

thanks for all the quick info all. im not a ford guy by any means, i only know a bit about international diesel engines. im going to take a look at the truck tomorrow morning so we will see if the pics are true. judging by the lack of dents, rust and the amount of chrome thats not rusty has...- dopeassjackson

what rear end does a 2wd F350 have? dana80? would turning the pump up a bit be a bad thing for this many miles?- dopeassjackson

im going to take a look at an F350, DRW, 6.9L and a auto tranny (C6 i think?). the owner says it has 440K on it. they dont know if the motor/tranny has been replaced. is this even possible to have that many miles on it? the truck is setup to pull a gooseneck and by the looks of it they...- dopeassjackson
