Pick up tubes and filler neck upgrade.
I have called several auto parts stores in regards to replacing my pick up tubes in my fuel tanks. They all are telling me there is no such a thing. So how do I repair my tubes. Just clamp a piece of hose onto it? I haven't taken them apart yet as I am still driving the truck. Either way, how...- adtman

I was referring to the isuzu engine you were describing. Those engines would come in the little white flat nose trucks right? I tried researching the isuzu applications, but to no avail. I will just have to keep asking questions.- adtman

tranny jack and removal help please
Just a little pointer for you. That new flywheel is going to be heavy. The bolt pattern on the crankshaft does not make a complete circle. Get some all thread the same size as the flywheel bolts, at least 2. Put one by the gap, or missing bolt hole on the crankshaft. Put the other one...- adtman

Well crap....that is not good news. I already have a rebuilt oil-cooler waiting to get installed...LOL That was the easiest part of your whole post! LOL Can I just jack the cab up a few inches? Well, I checked and there is no oil on the clutch. The oil pan is leaking I am going to need to remove it and reseal it. I am not looking forward to that. The slave cylinder is operating correctly. As is the throwout bearing. There is no binding at all. I pulled my gooseneck dump trailer...- adtman

Yes I even read the disk. I do appreciate you asking. I torqued to to 20lbs. I am going to just see how bad that oil leak is. I will get some brake clean and have a buddy push in the clutch. Spray it and clean it and see if that changes things up a bit.- adtman

That is about right. Clutch pedal feels good. In first it is almost immediate grab from the floor. I usually take off in second and the travel you mentioned is about right.- adtman

No, I installed a new "luk" single mass. I do have an oil leak. I have been watching it, the flywheel seems very clean still. I replaced the rear main oil seal. I see no leaking from it. I will inspect it closer. When I installed the clutch it was clean, it went from the plastic to the...- adtman

Where in the world can a guy even find one? I am curiously contemplating putting a 4bt in my '66 slick. It is a 2wd shortwide. Would that be a good marriage? I would obviously trash the 3 on the tree, I would prefer to stay with a manual transmission. It would obviously need power steering...- adtman
